I woke up to Calum tickling me. He gave me the biggest smile I have ever seen him give me since the day I met him in elementary school. God how I loved that smile.
I sat up in bed and recalled everything that happened yesterday when I was snapped out of it by my familiar brown eyed best friend talking to me.
"Mum said yes to you having the guest room Leigh" he said brightly. Jesus how I loved his boy.
"That's great" I replied.
I was 50/50 about leaving the flat. I wanted to stay because everything was the way I liked it, rough, messy, old and crap. Everything belonged to my mum and me and the flat was like another child. But, on the other hand I wanted to leave because I hated being alone and I wouldn't be able to afford the rent of the flat.
"Calum, when do you want me to move in?" I said, standing up and walking over to the pile of clothes in the corner of my room as I didn't have a wardrobe to put my clothes in. I put on clean underwear, ripped up black tights, my crappy Dr.Martens and a black t-shirt that belonged to Calum and threw on my comfy black, moth eaten sweater. I walked over to piece of shattered mirror that I hung on my wall and untied my dyed hair and let it hang down, I left my eye makeup smudged, and looked at myself in the mirror as I applied my usual black lipstick and turned to face Calum when I was done.
"Mom said you could move in today, if you want?" he replied, looking at me hopefully.
"Sure, can we start sorting out things to sell, keep and dump, I can't stand this any longer Calum" I said to him, sadness hanging in my voice as he embraced me in a cuddle.
"Sure we can" he said as he continued to cuddle my stiff, awkward frame of a body.
It has been a week since my mom died and we had already had the funeral, it was only small, consisting of Calum's family and me. The only people she wanted in her life. And I had decided that I wanted to move in with Calum and I knew that I was going to sell the flat and with that decided I had to go through everything me and my mom owned as I couldn't keep everything.
5 hours later, and me and Calum had a massive pile of what to dump and sell and a small pile of what to keep (not including my moms various articles of clothing) which consisted of all her band posters, the dingy cd player, her vinyl collection, photo albums, cd collection, her jewellery and various things she collected from tours she went to and places she had been before she had me.
--
I packed everything I owned into 2 large over night bags Calum gave me, because I didn't own a lot, I packd my makeup, clothes underwear, my mirror, teddy, jewellery, and every single poster, cd and vinyl I owned as well as everything I kept from my mums pile of what to keep. I loaded it into Calum's truck and hauled the stuff I wanted to dump next to the bins at the back of the apartment complex. Calum lifted the bag of what to sell into the back of his truck and wated for me to finish up packing my wash stuff. When I was ready I took one final look around the now empty apartment, shut and locked the door, and left the key under the mat lick the landlord said to and headed to Calum's truck and climbed inside.
--
Calum drove to the hardware store so I could choose the paint and any other accessories I wanted for my new room. We arrived and grabbed a trolley and I climbed in and we zoomed around the store, in a fit of giggles and black clothing. We reached the paint aisle and immediately I chose black for the walls and a black rug for the floor. We chose a black chandelier for my light and some black curtains and anything else we could find was also black. We paid and checked out and headed back to the truck to go to Calum's.Calum didn't live far from the hardware store, it was only a 5 minute drive from the hardware store. We reached Calum's house, which may I add was a lot better than my old dingy flat but I loved it all the same.
When I walked inside after doing two trips to the truck and back, we had everything dumped in the middle of the guest room. David and Joy said a brief hello to me before going to work, which left Calum and I to paint the guest room. We finished the painting after an hour and a half and was waiting for it to dry, which we left over night so I spent the night in Calum's bed.
I fell asleep in his arms, whilst murmuring "strange maze, what is this place?" almost inaudibly, before drifting off into a proper nights sleep, for the first time in a long time.

(A/N)
This was a filler chapter but I actully really like this chapter.
I feel so bad for Leigh and Calum is such a good friend to her. Sorry for their to not be much dialogue but I am trying to peceive Leigh to be greiving very heavily for her mum so she won't talk a lot, yet. I am trying to perceive her to look at the word but not comment or document fully on what is going on if you understand me?
Anyway, this The Smiths song is actually so good. I love it.
Mwah, love you guys!x
