Calum's P.O.V

Leigh was asleep in her room and I was attempting to fall asleep in mine. But I couldn't because thoughts of Leigh were running through my head.

Everything she did and said mesmerized me and she never failed to make me smile when she laughed or said something funny. She was so full of life and great advice and she was my best friend.

And that was the problem: she was my best friend. So, obviously she's out of my league.

She has been through hell and back with the loss  of her mom and I had comforted and had been there for her during the funeral, the aftermath and the start of the grieving process and not once had she pushed me away, she needed me and I knew that and I have done everything I can for her. Having her live with me and y mom and dad was great, she seemed much happier, she was still her typical grungy girl but I loved her for that because I was the typical grungy boy: piercings, tattoos, ripped clothes, smoking, getting high, drinking, attending numerous concerts and much more.

I shared every single one of those experiences with Leigh and o be honest, we still do. And I would not have it any other way. She is everything to me and I love her.

Holy shit, I love her.

--

The sun shined through my window and I woke up quicker than usual. I heard the sound of The Cure drifting through my wall from Leigh's rom, so I knew now that she was awake. I threw on some black skinny jeans, a black sweater that matched Leigh's, some black Dr.Martens, identical to Leigh's and a black beanie over my long, untamed, dark brown hair. I went to my bathroom and saw Leigh struggling to massage the blue/purple/grey/green hair dye concoction into her hair. So being  te best friend I was, I helped her out.

"Leigh, what has made you want to dye your hair, again for the fourth time this week?" I ask her half-heartedly, massaging the dye into her long hair.
"I don't want it to fade" She giggles, I haven't heard her giggle in a long time so I am going to savour this moment.
"Forget it fading, worry about it balding" I laugh back to her and she laughs with me as well.

Half an hour passes by and we have washed the dye out and her hair looks so cool!
"Woah Leigh, your hair looks lush" she smiles at me.
"Cal, can we go to the underpass?" She looks at me, knowing exactly what she wanted to do, so I nod and we leave the house heading straight for the underpass.

--

We reach the underpass and sit down, facing each other, each with a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a joint in the other.

Half a three quaters of a bottle of whiskey and three or four joints later, myself and Leigh are a laughing, giggling mess of black and tangled legs.

I wouldn't want it any other way because spending time with Leigh, I wouldn't want to spend it with anybody else.

And I knew right then, I was in love with Leigh Marie Bradley.
