Goku x Vegeta: Why Do You Hate Me?

Goku and Vegeta were locked in an intense battle. Even though the two were not enemies anymore, Vegeta seemed to have the intent of killing Goku. Goku had done nothing wrong, but someone had set Vegeta off, and unfortunately, Goku had found the angry Saiyan. The fight was getting worse, and Vegeta's attacks were becoming stronger and more dangerous. Finally, Vegeta caught Goku off-guard with a devastating kick that sent him flying into a mountain and literally knocked the Super Saiyan out of him! (teehee) Vegeta lowered himself out of the sky to kneel directly in front of Goku's battered body. Goku was slouched against the mountain, and when he noticed Vegeta, he merely stared. Vegeta held two fingers up to Goku's chest, right over his heart, and said, "I have beaten you, you are worthless now, you knew this day would come, now face your death with some dignity." Goku's heart froze, he had been wrong. He thought Vegeta was his friend, but here he was, after all these years, he still wanted to kill Goku. Goku could feel his very soul shattering. He would have trusted Vegeta with everything he'd ever cared about, but Vegeta hated him, and he would always hate him. Before Goku knew it, he broke, and streams of tears forced themselves from his eyes. He made no noise, and the tears simply would not stop flowing. Vegeta's eyes widened at the sight of the other Saiyan. He looked completely broken on the inside, his usually bright eyes were dull, and the younger Saiyan showed no fear in those dark eyes, only... pain and... betrayed trust. Vegeta's mind almost broke, 'What the hell am I doing,' he thought, 'he... trusted me... and I was about to kill him... the only being in the universe who gives a damn about me. The only one who... actually cares.' Suddenly, those dark, pain-filled eyes eyes returned Vegeta's gaze, and Vegeta could almost feel both of their hearts shattering when Goku choked out, "I...I..." he paused before adding, "I should have known y-you'd kill me someday... the only reason you've saved my life before was..." he paused again, "w-was so you could end it yourself." More tears streamed down Goku's face as he contunued, "I would have trusted you with everything I have... I thought... I thought we were f-friends... I guess you meant it when you said you h-hated me." Vegeta felt a horrible stab of guilt at his rival's- no, his friend's words. Vegeta felt horrible for doing any of this, and he wished he could take it back. Goku spoke again, and said, "I know I'm g-gonna die V-Vegeta, but before you do it, please... j-just tell me why. W-Why do you h-hate me, Vegeta? What did I do wrong...?" Vegeta couldn't take it anymore. He remove his fingers from Goku's chest, and allowed his own tears to flow. "K-Kakarot, I'm sorry," Vegeta stuttered, "I... I don't hate you, I only thought I did, now I see what an idiot I am for trying to kill you. I can't! I just can't do it! You're my only friend!" Vegeta put his hand on Goku's shoulder, and rested his forehead against the younger Saiyan's. Vegeta stared into Goku's eyes and murmured, "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry." Goku's smiled and looked up at Vegeta. They stayed like that for a while, until Goku wrapped his arm around Vegeta's neck, leaned up, and softly kissed the older Saiyan. Vegeta just closed his eyes and kissed back. Goku pulled away just enough to murmur, "I forgive you, Prince Vegeta." Then, pressed his lips against Vegeta's once more. Vegeta purred softly, and kissed back with all the love and admiration he could never express before.
