Chapter 24
Niall's POV *a new POV woohoo*
I quickly stepped out into the hallway and closed the door when I realized that was actually Lindsay. She had changed so much since I last saw her about a year ago. Her old black, wavy hair had been replaced with jet straight bleached hair. She had lip piercings, tattoos, and heavy black makeup around her eyes. She looked like a mash-up of Avril Lavigne and Nicki Minaj. I guess you can say she got rid of the innocent look she once carried on her shoulders.
"Are you drunk?" I asked in a nervous and hushed tone.
"Uh, as if. I was on my way to the skate park to meet up with some friends when I had realized I was skating by Liam's crash pat. I forgot some stuff here and I want it back." She explained to me in her no longer British accent, holding up her skateboard as proof.
I couldn't help but notice she had an American accent now. And she was using American slang. What does 'as if' and 'crash pat' even mean?
"I don't think this is a good time, Lindsay." I said, still having nervousness clear in my voice.
"Ew, please don't call me Lindsay, man. Everyone disgraceful has the name Lindsay. I now go by Tai, which is my middle name. It's so radical, you feel me?" Lindsay, or should I say Tai, told me.
"Well, Tai, this really isn't a good time." I repeated, using Tai instead of Lindsay.
"Listen Neil. That is your name right? Man, whatever. I don't care if you and Liam are a thing now, bruh. I bat for the other team, too. I just really need my stuff. I'm long over Liam and if you two are dating that's cool with me. I always knew you two had a thing." Lindsay laughed, making me choke on absolutely nothing.
"I AM NOT DATING LIAM I AM NOT GAY!" I shouted, blushing all the way to my hairline.
"Chill out, man. What are you yellin' for? You're totally buggin'." She said, shaking her head in the process.
"Liam is dating a GIRL and I am...well, kind of dating someone." I explained, emphasizing the word girl so she'd get the hint.
"Sweet, what's your girl's name?" Lindsay asked, not seeming phased at all that Liam had a girlfriend. Maybe she wasn't so crazy anymore. Maybe she really did change. Well, she was still crazy, but in a different way than before.
"Spencer. Yes, that is a girl's name." I said, adding the last part so she didn't accuse me of being gay again.
"Man, I totally know her. I kinda have a thing with her sister, Chris. That's actually one of the people I'm meeting at the skate park. She can't ride a board to save her life." Lindsay blurted, chuckling at the thought of Chris skateboarding.
That's when I choked again. Is this what she meant by 'batting for the other team'?
"You're dating Chris?" I asked with utter shock.
"Nah, nothing like that. Yet. We've hooked up a few times, but we're not dating quite yet, yanno?" Lindsay explained to me.
"You've done it with Chris?!" I asked with more shock than before. I couldn't believe that Chris was actually a lesbian. It's not that I had a problem with it. It's just that the thought of Lindsay and Chris hooking up was beyond me.
