Chapter Nineteen.

My Mom had brought her camera and was taking tonnes of photos, I don't know why we'd even bothered booking a photographer because I was certain she would capture every moment.

"Say cheese!"

I put on a smile as best I could, I felt like I was back in school having my photographs taken. Once the flash had disappeared everyone crowded around the camera fighting to see the photo on the small screen. I slumped on the couch when Jenny walked back in looking a little flustered.

"Jennifer!" My Mom said in her high-pitched voice. "Where ever have you been? you've missed all of the photos."

"I-I erm..." Jenny looked at me for help.

"She just went to the church to check if everything was in working condition."

My Mom didn't look convinced but just nodded her head with her lips pursed together and then turned around to fuss of the the bridesmaids. Jenny joined me on the couch, usually she would complain about how sitting down the way I was would crease my dress, she didn't even stir.

"Jenny, are you alright?"

"No, I mean yes. Yes i'm fine, why wouldn't I be? Brilliant, on top of the world, in tip top condition in fact."

I rolled my eyes, Jenny was a really bad liar, I could tell that something was up with her as soon as she had walked in the living area.

"Jen. You don't need to hide anything from me."

She swallowed and composing herself, "I am fine Bliss, really!"

I brought it, she obviously didn't want me to press for questions about how she was feeling, so I asked how everything was at the church. I saw her body tense up and then she replied stiffly.

"Fine."

"Oh..." I trailed off.

My Mom cornered me about my dress, she was worse than Jenny on a good day, and that was bad. My Mom kept telling me to stand up and fussed with the ends of my dress and saying how sitting like that would make it crease she then she started to demonstrate how I should sit with correct posture.

I caught Jenny's eye and we burst out laughing, my Mom looked at the both of us frowning. I tried to stop my laugh by placing my hand of my mouth, Jenny was biting her lip, tears streaming down her face. My mother huffed.

"I'm glad you find it funny, girls." She stalked off to pester somebody else.

"On second thought, I am so glad I wasn't here for photographs."

I rolled my eyes. "You have no idea."

"Oh, I think I do." Jenny said and gestured her gaze towards my mother who was clutching her camera and was taking random photo's of the wallpaper in Jenny's living room.

I sighed. "Do you reckon she's annoyed at me?"

"Bliss, she's your mom, she will only stay annoyed for a while and then she'll get over it."

I nodded and at that very moment Craig bombarded into the house brilliant, who let him in? He came over to me, I tried to pretend I hadn't notice his presence which was particularly difficult as he was standing right in front of my eyes.

"Bliss, I need to talk."

"Can't it wait?"

My Mom shot me daggers as she moved closer to hear what Craig had to say.

"Alright then." He dragged me into the hallway.

"Look, this is important."

"Well get on with it then."

"Well I w-"

"The cars here!" My mother screeched.

"Look I have to go, tell me later, okay?"

Craig didn't reply instead he just gave me a stiff nod. I couldn't resist hugging him once more.

"You've been real good to me Craig."

I turned around and got into the car, ready to become Mrs Fox.

The procession music blared and my Mom did the final touches. First, it would be the two flower girls, followed by the two older bridesmaids, the two younger bridesmaids; then it was the maid of honor along with me.

I took a deep breath and taking my Dad's arm. He pulled me back a little.

"Are you sure this is what you want?"

I hesitated for a brief moment and then nodded. He kissed my forehead, gave me a smile and I walked down the aisle. All heads turned to face me, cameras flashed and people were crying, seriously? they're not the ones getting married and they're crying! I tried not to roll my eyes.

Drake turned around and a smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, it didn't quite reach into a grin as he took my hand in his, the priest began the service.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here in the sight of God, and in the face of this company, to join together this Man and this Woman in holy Matrimony..."

He carried on talking and making small speeches about marriage, there were prayers read out and hymns sung and then the time came, it was nearly the end. My hands were shaking, Drake tried to give me a supportive smile, even though you could tell he also lacked the confidence.

I had no idea who the best man was, probably someone famous, but he had been on his phone through out the whole service, I was tempted to say something, but that would just be inappropriate. I faced the priest as he read out the line I was dreading the most.

"If any person knows why these two people shouldn't lawfully be joined together in holy matrimony speak now of forever hold your peace."

It seemed as if the whole church was holding its breath. Drake held my hand a little tighter.

"I object!" Two voice echoed simultaneously.

The whole church gasped and horrified looks were shot to both people who had objected, I turned around to see who they were.
