After I got my phone. I went home. That dumb old bag at the phone store pissed me off so damn bad. And I'll see her everywhere now cause she's Joshua's freaking mom! Thanksgiving, Christmas, name it and she's there!
After we got home I went in my room and turned the music up. I thought Joshua would get mad but he busted my door open and started dancing. "What are you doing." I asked while laughing. "Dancing, duh, hahaha!" He said. "You know this song?" I asked "yep" he said, still dancing. "Oh, the time. I got to go to work. Bye." "Bye love y- uh, bye." He just looked at me. Smiled and went out. I can't believe I almost said love you! But he felt just like a dad to me. Like I've never felt that feeling before. He's just an amazing person to me. I guess that it what a dad feels like.
I was home alone for three hours after that. Finally Lauren pulled in with groceries. I went out to help her unload them. she just handed me bags and I put them where they go. "That bag over there goes in the bathroom next to your bedroom." She said pointing to the last bag. "Ok" I replied. I took it to the bathroom and started unloading it where it belongs. Shampoo, conditioner, Pads, Toothpaste. Wait, what is this? At the bottom of the bag there were pills. I looked closer and they were abortion pills. I ran downstairs and found Lauren crying on the couch. "Oh my god Lauren hat happened?" I asked. "You saw them didn't you?" She asked, ignoring my question. "Saw what?" "You know what I'm talking about Eva." She said. Her mascara was runny so I got her a tissue from the counter in the kitchen. "Here you go, and yes I saw them. Why did you get those?" I asked her. "Well, I went to the doctor's office to make sure everything was ok with the baby, and she won't turn in time for the birth." She said, then she immediately started crying harder. I hugged her. " she'll be ok." I assured her. "While you and Joshua were gone, I thought of a name for her." "Really, and what is it?" She asked giving me a weak but meaningful smile. "I thought about the name Abby." "Abby." She repeated. "I like it" she said giving me a smile. "Please don't do that to Abby." I said. Lauren teared up some more so I handed her another tissue. "Jesus help me." She said. "Help this family have Abby as healthy as can be lord."
The next morning I was woken to the sound of Slayer, Cast The First Stone. I got up and found Lauren, Joshua, and lots of other people in the living room. "Good morning sleepy head. I knew that song would wake you." He said "well yeah! It's the best song ever." I said with a smile. "We have big news." Said Lauren. "Alright everyone hush now." Said Joshua to the loud crowd. "Eva, we have decided that... WE ADOPT YOU!!" Said Joshua and Lauren together.
