Joshua threw Baby outside. I was furious. Then he grabbed a belt and told me to go to my room so he could give me the biggest ass whooping I've ever had. Lauren, the dr and his nurse just starred. "Well? Go!" He yelled again. " fuck you I'm leaving!" I yelled. I ran outside before he could grabbed me. I got Baby to follow me and we ran down the street. "CALL THE COPS!" I heard Joshua yell. I looked back and he was on the front lawn on his phone. "Oh damn." I whispered. Me and Baby were down an alley eventually. We ran in the woods out of sight from anyone. "Baby, what the hell are we doing?" I said to her. She just looked at me. "If they catch us, I have to go back to that foster facility, damn... They'll never let me back into a foster home. And you'll go to the pound."
It's been two days. Me and baby are still on the run. I have no idea where we are, we are both hungry. "What the actual fuck, Baby?" I asked. I realized that I am very stupid. And to have baby brought into it? That's selfish!
It's getting dark, yesterday was my birthday. It was some birthday huh? That night I made a fire and Baby brought a squirrel to the fire. "Where have you been?" I asked. "I was so worried." "Good girl." I said for bringing the squirrel. We both shared it.
It's been a week now and me and Baby are in a different state. We are in Texas. We've just been traveling through the the woods, but today we are walking through a big city. "I think we are in Dallas." I told Baby. I had to take her collar off, she got to big for it.
"HEY GIRL WATCH OUT!!" I heard someone yell. Thats the last thing i remember
I woke up in what looked like a hospital. "Where's Baby?" I asked. By no one was in the room. I saw a button on the wall by my head that read "press to call nurse" i reached for it but realized my arm was in a cast, so was my neck and one of my legs. I teared up to the pain I started feeling. "The hell?" I said to myself, something was moving under my bed. I couldn't look so I sat there about to sweat with fear. But finally it got out and it was Baby. "Thank god." I whispered. She had a broken leg and looked like she had a back brace.
Finally a nurse walked in and looked at Baby with slanted eyebrows. "Is everything ok?" I asked her. "She's supposed to be resting, just like you." She said while pointing to a huge dog bed in the corner of the room. "I'm nurse Abby." "Abby?" I asked. I suddenly hated that name... It reminded me of to much.
"What happened?" I asked. "You don't remember?" Abby asked. "Nope." "You both were hit by a truck, you're lucky to be alive. The dog died for a minute but we managed to shock her back to life." "Her name is Baby." I said.
