The boy remained to be sad and despise himself for the reason of their family problems. He never let others to know what his problem because other might tease him. One time he sits on a place wherein no one is there and he cried and suddenly one girl approach him.

The girl asked. "Why are you crying?"

The boy answered "Leave me alone!"

The girl was still forcing the boy to tell the why is he crying until the boy feels out of temper and said to her.

"What is your concern about me? First of all I don't know you and I don't want to know you."

But, even if the boy did this to her girl doesn't mind what the boy said and still she understands him and answered.

"Hi I'm Belen Ann, but you can call me BA." **Sarcastically answered**

Silence filled the air. The boy blatantly ignored the girl, as if the latter was just an air that is invisible to his sight. He just brushed her off and did not even make an effort to utter a word, even his name. But despite of the ill-manner that the boy shown. It did not waver the girl. In fact, she was still determined and hopeful that boy will eventually give in and will finally accept the friendship she's been offering to him. The girl firmly believes that no matter how stubborn and hard-headed the boy. He needs an understanding and caring friend that he can count on, a friend that will never judge him and leave him even when the world will end.

Weeks passed by, the boy went to the place where he usually reflect and express out his emotions. He finds this place as somewhere where he can recollect his life, and where he can share his feelings and problems, either by ranting or crying. As he walked closely to his favorite spot on that place, he saw the girl, He was surprised and said:

"Why are you still here?!"

"Why? Are you the only one that is allowed to go here?!" the girl peevishly replied.

"Yes! I am the only one who can go here! Tell me the truth why are you really here?" "What do you want?" the boy indignantly asked.

"I just want to, as simple as that. And besides, I haven't seen your name posted on this place claiming that it's yours. And why are you so angry?!" the girl seemed too often.

"Why do you care? Can you just stop talking to me and being this close to me. Don't waste your time to get to know me or worse, make friends with me because I'll tell you won't certainly like me. All the students in our school don't like to befriend me because I'm jerk. I'm war-freak. I always get myself in trouble."

The girl wanted to say that she's different from others, that she won't treat him in that way. But she fear that the boy wouldn't believe her and would just cause a prolong irritation towards her. She knew that it wasn't the right time. Instead of words, the girl decided to show that she really care about him. That she's a genuine person who's willing to be his friend.

Days and weeks ticked by, the girl just continued to pursue the boy. Every day she made sure that the boy would really feel her sincerity to become his friend. Until one day, the girl noticed the boy is gradually becoming nice to her. He began to soften, and slowly he found himself getting comfortable around the girl. He's even the one who initiated their first conversation.

"Hey, you seem having a good day, Huh? You're starting talking to me. That's quite new." The girl flabbergasted said.

"I don't know, though. Maybe I am starting to believe to everything that you've said that you're different from them. That I can trust you." The boy just shrugged but it's obvious that he really meant the words that spilled from his mouth. The girl couldn't help but crack a smile and responded.

"Well, that's good. You know, I'm not like them. I don't easily judge people. So what now, can we be friend?"

The boy paused, like he was deliberating the question which made the girl quite nervous. She even thought that what if the boy was just making fun of her all this time and wouldn't get the friendship she's been wishing for? But that incertitude vanished in the air when the boy finally smile and responded.

"Yes. We're now friends."

That week gone by. And it was filled with so much delight for both of them, especially the girl who's been very patient, determined and optimist to pursue the boy to become her friend.

Watch out to where this friendship that the boy and girl have started will lead them. Is there a possibility that this friendship will turn to romance? We will find out in the next chapter of MY DREAM AND I.
