The boy was so devastated due to what happened. Until now, he couldn't believed that the girl he used to be his friend- the only person who embraced and accepted him wholly and genuinely despite his imperfections-is now drifting apart from him. And this pain caused him to turn his old self back. He was now again a selfish, war freak, stubborn and aloof person. He even didn't go to school as he always did before. But even though he turned his old image back, his feelings as well as the pain were still there, lingering inside. Every day the boy always cried. Every time he thought that the girl he had feelings with was now with somebody, it seemed that his heart was slowly grinding into pieces. But he still hoped that eventually, the girl would find its way back to him.

Three months had passed and unfortunately, still nothing changed to the situation. The girl was still as hard as a stone and the boy was still hopeful. But it seemed that the time made the boy felt numb and slowly, tired waiting for the girl. But he just brushed it off. He didn't want to lose his feelings and faith for the girl, because he was optimistic that the girl would be back again.

With these positive thoughts, the boy changed himself in a good way. He wanted to be distracted from the pain yet in a way that he would be able to improve himself. He decided to rectify his messed up life and become a better version of himself. He was starting to focus on studies and even trying to socialize in school by joining to different events and organization, something that he never did before.

One day, he saw a poster in their school's bulletin board which invited students to try out on the basket ball team for the its upcoming tournament. The boy gave it a shot and luckily and unexpectedly, he passed and got in the team which made him extremely happy.

On the opening day of basket ball tournament, as the boy prepped up, he saw a familiar face from the crowd. He followed it with his gaze until he figured out the face. It's her'. He wanted to talk to her but he held himself back. He didn't want to cause trouble especially now that the girl was already taken. He wanted to stay away from issue.

However, while he was practicing, the thought of the girl messing up his mind. He was so distracted and couldn't catch up properly to the practice which his teammates noticed.

"Hey, dude. Are you okay? You seem out of focus? Want to have a break?" they asked.

"No. I'm okay. I was just thinking but I'm fine. Let's continue practice!" the boy responded, feigning an enthusiasm.

The boy went home straight after the practice. He was still not in peace. From the time he saw the girl earlier, he couldn't stop thinking about her. All the pain and bad memories he had been buried for quite a long time were slowly hunted him again. He was glad to see her but it also entailed excruciating pain that he no longer wanted to deal with. So he decided to forget everything and didn't let the situation that happened affect him. ~

Two months had passed, and the school was in full swing again for it has upcoming general event. The event was composed of different performance numbers from each year level. After his batch finished performing, it was ensued by a girl guest performer with such beautiful and mesmerizing voice which made the boy taken aback. The boy couldn't help but just stared at the girl with pure admiration. He was totally captivated to its voice.

When the singer finished h er performance. The boy hastily approached the backstage to meet the singer. He didn't know why he was running after that singer but he didn't care. He really wanted to know her. As he reached the backstage, he approached the singer and greeted it.

"Hello", the boy started the conversation.

"Hi. Hmm, is there something you need?" the singer replied amicably. She was quite surprised to be greeted by a quite stranger from her school.

"Hmmm, I'm just here to say that you did great in your performance, you possess such a wonderful voice. Hmm, do you mind if I ask your name? Don't worry I'm not trying to hit you, I'm just a fan of yours" the boy said.

He was quite nervous to ask the name of the singer. The singer felt flattered from what she heard,

"Thank you. It's really nice to hear such compliments from others. By the way, I'm Rose." the girl smiled and raised her hand to shake hands with the boy.

The boy didn't have an idea as to why he felt so exuberant upon hearing the singer's name. Actually, he didn't expect that the girl would be that nice to give its name to a mere stranger.

From the day they met, the boy couldn't stop thinking about Rose. They didn't get to see each other again after that event which made the boy totally yearned for her. He still couldn't get over and he had no idea as to why he was so endeared to Rose. And every day, it seemed that Rose was gradually pepping up his life. The boy felt motivated just thinking about this mesmerizing singer. And even though they hadn't met yet again, Rose's absence seemed made this admiration grow more. The boy believed that one day, their paths will cross again.

Did the boy already moved on from the girl (BA)? And could it be Rose the new girl that would end up his broken heart? Find out those answers on the next chapter of Dream and I.
