Months had passed by; the two were extremely happy and inseparable. Every day they always see each other and goofing around. During their break time in school, they always hang out to the place where they first met each other. They were like loving siblings. However, as days gone by, they gradually crossing the line of friendship. And the two started to fall in love with each other. But because of fear and hesitation, they just kept this feeling to themselves. The two were unaware that they both felt the same way. It's just they didn't have yet the courage to confide it to each other. They were afraid that things would change for the worse if they let themselves to become impulsive for their feelings. Initially, both of them decided to just stick to their friendship since the latter is the good foundation for a better relationship in the future. But as days rolled by, their feelings for each got stronger. And those days they usually spent together as happy and boisterous, slowly becoming awkward, dull and quite uncomfortable. The boy noticed that changes, so he asked,
"What happen to us? Why are we now like this? I'm not used to it."
The girl looked at him with a sudden stern look "Because you changed! You went back to your old self again! Selfish and aloof. Why are you like that? Is there something I should know? Tell me!" the girl replied with a disappointment in her voice.
The boy was silent for awhile. He didn't know that it was him who changed first. That it was him who over-controlled his personal feelings yet still having hard time to stick with their friendship. He didn't realize then that he's becoming quiet and distant again. They boy thought that he might just did that to guard his feelings. He was just afraid that his love for the girl would come uncontrollable. And right now, with the girl asking him why he suddenly changed, he was confused again if he should tell the truth. That he started to like her. No, that he loved her. But he was scared that everything would change if he'd spill it.
"Why can't you speak? Why, do you like me? Do you love me? The girl angrily asked.
When the boy still couldn't speak, she started to walk away but a grip from the boy on her arms hindered her.
"Yes, I love you! And I know that this should not be happening that's why I just kept it. But it was hard. Real hard! Because you told me before that we should just be friends!"
Tears from his eyes started to roll on boy's face. He couldn't control too many feelings for the girl and he just exploded.
"You know that we can't be more than friends. You should have thrown that feeling. I thought you're a real friend! You can't even keep a promise!" angers and disappointment reigned to the girl as she ran off.
The boy was left with tears. He was regret that for one mistake; a feeling that he should not have felt, destroyed everything they have built for each other. Days passed, the boy looked around for the girl, with determination to rectify all things. But he didn't see the girl. He even chatted her on social Medias, but there's no reply. That kept happening for a month; no talks and meet-ups with the girl.
One month gone by, he finally saw the girl. He started to approach her and talk her but the girl just ignored him, as if he didn't exist in that very moment. They boy just let it. When he was about to try talking to her again, a random guy approached the girl and wrapped his other hand to girl's waist.
"Hi, honey" the girl said with a happy face.
"Honey? Is there something happening here? And who's this guy?" he looked at the boy.
"Just so you know, I'm the boyfriend of BA. My name is Daryl." the random guy continued.
The boy was dumbfounded. He felt his heart was crushing. Devastation slowly crept in.
"Is it true? Is he really your boyfriend? Please tell me." they boy asked to the girl with a pity look on his face.
He still couldn't believe what he just heard.
"What happened to you? In two months, I hadn't heard anything about you. I hadn't even seen you. Please, is he really your boyfriend?" he asked again.
The girl was just poker face as if the situation didn't budge her.
"Yes, Daryl is my boyfriend. Why do you care? And can you just go away. We're in a rush." the girl replied.
The girl and her boyfriend walked off. Leaving the boy with shattered heart and, again, in tears. "I'm just a friend who longs for your explanation of why you disappeared and left me for two month." the boy whispered to himself.
"Watch for the next chapter of Dream and I. what will happen to the boy when he would finally know what really happened to the girl for the past two months? Wait and see."
