"So why Calypso?" He asked, folding his arms across each other and settling his face there as he listens to me like a little child.

"So after the war broke out, Odeysius started wandering the seas and he eventually landed on Ogygia. He thought it was gonna be a normal island. Little did he know it was an enchanted island. A chosen hero can go in, but none can go out in their own free will. There he met the nymph inhabiting the island- the ever beautiful Calypso." I said with a sigh.

"Pretty name," he said his eyes peering up to me.

"Yeah, it was. So she had a curse, she was born on that island but that was also her prison. We thought loving someone who can't love you back was the cruelest thing ever but what Calypso had to go through was a few more times worst." I said looking at him

"what?" He asked

"They send her a guy who she can't keep. Someone who can never accept her companionship. Even for just a little while. She sends a hero she can't help but fall in love with. And I know that's worst, giving someone your all only to be taken away from you. " I told him

"I imagine it can be quite lonely for her. People literally just came and go," he said softly

"Yes, it can be. So.. how about you? What're you gonna write about?" I asked him

"Well, I guess I'd do the Odeysius' guy side. It's just fitting you know? We can write two stories and combine them as one."He says which shocked me.

"Oooh, so he has brains" I mocked what he said earlier.

"How'd you think I ended up in AP History and other AP classes? Charm? pfft," he huffed.

"Yeah, that'd be it," I said and rolled my eyes

"So you agree im charming?" He says with a smirk.

"Eat your heart out," I said and glared at him and continued typing on the iPad.

We settled in comfortable silence. School nights would always be like this, just us doing homework. Watching movies, him helping me out of the bed when I need to go to the washroom. Luke Rivers was no longer just a decent person in my book, he was now a kind person. He upped a level

"Your brother was right," he said pulling me out of my concentration.

I raised an eyebrow at him.

"You don't need to carry everybody on your shoulders you know? it's good to be selfish sometimes" He said still facing his laptop still typing.

"Being selfish is not an option. We only have each other" I answered him still writing.

"You and your brother make it seem like having siblings is fun" He muttered lowly

"It is, he's literally my other half," I said lovingly.

"That would be nice," He said and smiled a bit

"How about you? Any siblings?" I asked

"Nope, an only child. I grew up in this hospital. Roaming through the halls pestering patients when I was a child. I help out at times too, I want to be a doctor someday- just like my mom" He said in one go.

So he does have a dream. I guess all of us have one.

"Dr. Luke Rivers, hmmm nice ring to it," I said smiling at him

"Yeah, let's just pray I don't make any mistakes on patients," he said and chuckled.

" Don't worry I'll pray for that too" I say and offered him a smile
