Annabeth's POV:
"Percy we should probably go find my dad now." I tell my fiancé. Fiancé. I can't believe he actually proposed to me. I'm so happy, I can't stop smiling. I look up at my fiancé and kiss him on the cheek. He smiles and takes my hand as we walk into the room.

As soon as we walk in everyone stops what they're doing and looks at us. I smile and wave nervously. Everyone just glares back at me. I frown and look for my dad. I see him standing in the corner but now walking towards me and Seaweed Brain. He's the only one that's smiling at me.

I don't get why none of them like me. I never did anything to them, but I guess I'll never know. When my dad reaches me he pulls me into a hug. I don't move for a few seconds not used to anyone touching me like this besides Percy, but then I relax and wrap my arms around him too.

I look out of the corner of my eye and see Percy smiling down at me. I smile back. I pull away and put my hand back into Percy's. "Hi dad." I say nervously.

"Hi Annie." He replies. Normally I would confront him about calling me that but I don't. He looks down at mine and Percy's hands and frowns. He knows we're dating and approves of us but he's still not all the way on bored with it because I mean he's my dad and it's his job to worry.

His face then changes to anger. "What are you wearing?" He asks his voice full of anger. I give him a confused look asking want he's talking about. "The ring on your finger." He tells me. Uh oh. I knew I should have taken it off.

"Um well, Percy just proposed to me." I say nervously.

"What! You're only eighteen Annabeth you can't be engaged!" He yells at me making everyone turn and watch if they weren't already.

"It's my life and you can't control me! I love Percy and I always will! I don't care that we're young because I'm in love with him and only him!" I yell back.

"You're too young to know what love is!" He says.

"I know more than you." I finish while turning around and walking away.

Percy pov:
I just watched as they fought because I had no idea what to do. Then Annabeth walked away. I turn to her father. "Sorry but I have to say this Mr. Chase but if you loved her you would be happy for her that she's finally happy." I tell her and then run after my fiancé.

I look outside and see her sitting on the steps looking at the sky. I walk up to her. I then sit down and wrap my arm around her shoulder pulling her close. She rests her head on my chest. I grab her hand and kiss her forehead.

She just smiles and snuggles closer to me and together we watch the sun go down and the moon come out. She fell asleep not long after that in my arms. I smile while picking her. I carry her into the house and look for her father. I see him in the kitchen.

"Where are we sleeping?" I ask him. Everyone is staring at us again but I just ignore it.

"I'll show you to the the guest room." He tells me.

"Percy?" I hear Annabeth mumble.

"Ya Beth?" I ask looking at her. Her eyes are stilled closed and her heads tucked into the crook of my neck. "I love you." She mumbles again. I chuckle.

"I love you too. Now go to sleep, you need it." I say to her walking out of the living and following Mr. Chase. We walk downstairs where there's a few bedrooms. He takes us to the farthest one. He opens the door and leaves without saying goodbye. He must still be mad at me. Whatever, I meant what I said.

I lay Annabeth down on the bed and pull the blanket up. I take off my shirt and pants because I don't sleep with them on and lay down next to her. I wrap my arms around her waist and lean her head against my chest so her lips are close enough and kiss her.

She kisses back and then we fall asleep in each other's arms. At least untill the nightmares came.
