Life had started sucking in its cutest ways ever. It had been two weeks or so since my supposed to be girl friend and I had broken up. I hadn't received any threats from Mr. I will haunt and I thank God because so I heard from Miss Tina that he was abroad. My training was going on well and perfectly. In the first on line test I did I got a B+ and Miss Tina brought me a whole new wardrobe. For a person who was trained on arts to business, I really deserve some credit. I was slightly offended at first like who is she to judge the way I dress. But then she explained herself and her sweet intentions and I was quick to understand. Anyways, I did enjoy it because I love shopping.
Before I got into this crazy world at first, I used to do window shopping with Gina. We tour the city all day just look around ask alot and buy nothing. Well atleast Gina could save up and buy something the next time we went window shopping. I on the other hand was unemployed and couldn't have the luxury of buying things around. Well, these days things are taking a different course. I can buy myself things and even buy my mom things too.
It was a Saturday and I was in a coffee shop one that I loved going to since I was a kid ,draining myself with all the caffeine I could get my hands on and suck into my sorrows. I was sitted next to a wall with alot of calligraphy and writings where people sink in their feelings. I loved sitting here because it was isolated and very peaceful. I always felt connected to people who scribbled on the wall, like we were communicating silently a secret message that only us understood. It was a special feeling.
I had once left behind a message for her. My sister whose name I can hardly remember anymore. But yeah everytime I come here...search around and it was silent. "Maybe she mved away to another city." Gina had once told me though I felt like she was keeping something from me. I didn't push her knowing it was for the best things remained that way.
"Well Rosa..." I sighed as I stared at the wall longingly then suddenly gasped at the sight before me. Oh My Gosh! She had answered.
Don worrie bouh mie Rosie. Am fine. How are you? ~Romina~
Typical her. My sick sister whom I so much loved. Romina. I smiled. I finally had her name. I took a marker and started communicating.
"Excuse me. Can I intrude your space?" An intriguing voice spoke. I had urge to turn and look at who owned such an adorable voice but no I couldn't just ignore this one chance I had to talk to her. What if the wall decided to run away the minute I turned? I wouldn't forgive me for that.
"Yeah sure go ahead. Make yourself comfie." I wrote on. I then heard him pull a chair across me and settle in it. I closed my marker safely put it in my purse and viola! God. Why do you keep doing this to me?
"Hi." I found guts and spoke. "How are you?"
"Am good. You?"
"Great." I averted his calm brown welcoming eyes. Romina. She loved guys with brown eyes. I took a quick glance at the wall then back at him and met his hazel....wait was it hazel or brown? I couldn't easily tell. And my! That messy hair. He looked a whole lot like somebody I know or ever met.
"You left a message?" He asked pointing at the wall. "Yeah. And am wondering if she will see it." I gulped in some coffee. I needed it. He was breath taking.
"I have a friend who does that too. She sits here everyday we come here to see if it ia answered but her hopes are always cornering to nill." He smiled a little. I nodded and narrowed my eyes at him with a questioning look. "But..." he shot a fingure up which made me laugh a little. "Don't worry. I bet you are gonna get answered soon enough."
"Aaahhaaa." I laughed. "Sure. I will." I laughed along. Soon enough an elderly waitre came to us. "Hello Willy." He patted his back. He got a cold glare at first then a genuine smile broke in.
"Old man who doesn't get intimidated by my looks anymore." They shook hands.
"You are not your cousin you know. But that doesn't mean I don't respect you. So,the usual?" He nodded. The Willy guy.
"What about you?" A voice rang in my ears. I had zonned off! "Huh?" I almost jumped off my seat. Both men seemed amused. "What would you like to order?"
"Me? No thanks. Am good." I shook my head calmly.
"Ok." The waitre took down notes then left. He later came and placed a plastic capuccino cup before him and a coffee cup before me. I gave both of them questioning looks before they both laughed.
"Just an offer." He said. I still hesitated. "It is not drugged." He went on.
"You sure?" My voice came out sorta scratched.
"Yeah." He took a sip of his then of mine. I watched him calmly as he drank from the cup, placed it again before me. "Am not dying. See."
"Ooow nor are you turning into a mutated alien. That is safe enough." I shrugged. We all laughed at my silly words as the waitre dismissed himself and my face went scarlet. We went on like that for an hour or so. Laughing, talking, as he constantly checked his wrist watch. "Who are you waiting for?" I asked him.
"A friend. The one who writes on walls like you do. She was supposed to be here about fifteen minutes ago."
"She just fifteen minutes late. Chilax." I sipped in. "Am not worried. It is just that she is always punctual. So this is very unusual." Just then a phone vibrated. It was his obviously. He took it out read something then a frown formed on his face. He looked so adorable. I almost laughed so when he looked up he met a smiling me. "What's funny?"I shook my head deniably."No nothing."
"Ok." I then looked at my cell phone myself and whoa look at the time!
"Well..." I started collecting my things. "I guess this is goodbye." I shot my hand daring to ask for a hand shake. He held my hand. It was warm and he smiled. A sudden image of that Antonio guy merged with my thoughts."Yeah. So uuuhmm what is your name?" He begun. A thought popped up.
"Am not telling you." He frowned and looked at me disappointed. I think he had gotten this all wrong. "No. I mean let's leave it to fate for us to meet again."
"Ooow."
"In the mean time you can call me whatever you want." He smiled. "I'll call you lovely?" He chuckled.
"Lovely. I like the sound of that." I nodded.
"What are you calling me?" He asked. I shook my head with a grin. "Ok. I see you are not planning to say anything whatsoever." He crossed his arms across his chest. His broad chest. "See you when fate decides then." He waved at me. I jist had to laugh. This guy was adorable and a total toddler!
"Suit yourself. " I patted his head and turned on my heels to leave. So far today is good. I got into my car and started the engine.
"What shall we call you huh?" I smiled at the driver's mirror since I was alone in the car. Am no lunatic.
"Toodler?" I smiled. "Yap. Toodler. No that's too mean for a grown-up. Hazel...." I hummed.
Hazel. Just like his eyes.
I had decided. His eyes were hazel not brown or I'd be calling him browny.I got into the road and drove to the nearest shop. I felt like shopping and buying a little something for mom too. Tomorrow is Sunday and I am planning to make it special for mom. She does deserve it. She has been a great support and all. Through my jobless moments till now....yeah she deserved it.
