Meanwhile in Malibu Liam is at a local coffee shop grabbing his usual expresso before heading into the studio for another day of filming. As he sits and waits for his coffee he looks up from his paper and sees a familiar face walk up to the counter, Barista:"Good morning Mr. Grey would you like me to get your usual started" S:"Not today Susan can I just get the drip of the day, black?" for Sky black coffee usually meant he was really exhausted or really worried B:"Rough night Mr. Grey?" S:"Yeah, a dear friend of mine is in the Hospital I'm on my way to see her now" B:"I hope she's gonna be ok" S:"Thanks Susan I'm sure she will be" He knew he looked as worried as he was but that's about as much as he was willing to say, he wasn't about to let Nina's name slip and have the hospital bombarded with paparazzi. B:"Here you go Mr. Grey" S:"Thank you Susan how much do I owe you" B:"It's on the house" S:"Are you sure?" B:"Absolutely" S:"Thanks Susan" B:"You're welcome Mr. Grey"

He turns to go and runs into Liam "Hey Sky it's been a while" S:"Yes it has Liam....Should we be expecting Chris anytime soon" even now his disdain for Chris was apparent L:"No ..... I'm due at the studio for filming, I umm.... couldn't help overhearing your conversation, it isn't Nina is it?" he doesn't have to answer his expression says it all L:"Is she ok?" S:"I'm sorry Liam but for Nina's sake I don't think we should be having this conversation" L:"Sky please....... I'm not Chris I just want to know if she's ok" S:"I don't know Liam" Skylar eyes him with curiosity, he looks sincere enough maybe it wouldn't hurt to tell him just the basics of what happened. He was her brother-in-law at one point so he assumes he must still care for her S:"....... There was a complication early this morning and she was rushed to the hospital. She's undergoing an emergency C-Section as we speak" The color drains from his face, he can't help but wonder if Chris' actions might have something to with it L:"Oh my God! Is the baby ok?" S:"For Nina and Jared's sake I hope so, they're so in love with that little soul already if anything happens to her baby I honestly don't think she will survive it" L:"She always talked about starting a family with Chris but of course he wasn't interested,I know how much she must want this baby, if anything should happen I know how devastated she would be" Sky knows Liam means well but he has know no idea what Nina's been through and the more he speaks the more agitated he gets and without thinking he lashes out at Liam S:"No you don't know Liam! You weren't there! You weren't there to mend the shattered soul Chris left behind!!! You weren't there when she agonized over loosing her baby!!! You weren't there Liam you couldn't possibly know!!!!" As soon as the words leave his mouth he immediately regrets it, Liam looks at him like Sky just spoke in an Alien language that only he can understand L:"What did you just say........ Nina was pregnant with Chris's baby when he left her? S:"She didn't find out till after the break up" L:"Why didn't she say anything?" S:"Because she didn't want him to take her back just because of the pregnancy, it was just as well, two weeks later we were supposed to be at a photoshoot downtown, when I went to pick her up she wouldn't come to the door so I let myself in. She was curled up in the fetal position on her chaise. She miscarried several hours later. She was devastated, first she lost Chris then his child it was more than she could bear" the color drains from Liam's face L:"Oh my God......Nina, I'm so sorry" S:"It wasnt your fault Liam" L:"My brother's an idiot! He let the best thing that ever happened to him slip through his fingers. He made his own bed and beleive me, he's lying in it!" S:"Please don't say anything to Chris he can't know! Nina made me promise I would never tell another living soul and I've said too much already!" Liam's head is still realling, there's no way Chris can know there's no telling what he'll do L:"Of course not! I wouldn't...... I won't say a word I promise" Sky says his goodbyes and walks out the door

"The Baby's heartbeat is nice and strong, you've been taking good care of your self, and the baby is well within normal range there's no reason why you can't deliver a healthy baby" Dr. Raines assured them, however Jared and Nina couldn't help being scared she was still delivering 4 weeks ahead of schedule and they still feared for their baby's life. Dr. Fines took over explaining the surgical part of the Birth "I will be making an incision in your lower abdomen, you won't feel pain but might feel some pressure. If it gets too painful or uncomfortable you let me know" Nina nods weakly and turns to Jared for reassurance "It's ok Darling, he'll be in our arms soon" N:"I know baby, just a little nervous I guess" he kisses her tenderly "I'm right here my love" The doctors begin the C-Section, Nina feels pushing and pulling as the doctors work to deliver the baby but otherwise no pain. At one point Jared gets curious and takes a peek but immediately wishes he hadn't not that he's squeamish at the sight of blood but a C-Section incision is not pretty, the color drains from his face and he starts feeling queasy N:"Is something wrong?" Come on Jared keep it together she needs you "No my love, just a little squeamish I guess" she smiles sweetly, squeezes his hand and mouths I love you. He mouths I love you more and takes her lips. After a few more minutes of pulling and tugging the baby's heart monitor falls silent and is replaced by the baby's cries N:"He's here" Dr. R:"Congratulations guys, say hello to your son" tears of joy leave their eyes, Dr. Fines cuts the umbilical cord and the nurse wraps the baby in a receiving blanket and hands him to Jared. He's so tiny and beautiful he lowers him for Nina to see, she reaches for the baby and kisses the top of his head "He's so beautiful" he turns his little head to the sound of her voice J:"He knows his mommy" N:"And his daddy" as if on queue he turns his attention back to Jared and eyes him with curiosity" Dr. R:"Jared, Nina This is Dr. Reed, he's one of our top pediatricians, he'll be examining your baby to make sure he's doing well postpartum" Dr. Reed:"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Leto, Mrs. Leto, congratulations on the birth of your son...." Hmm Mrs. Leto, she loves the sound of that, she's still in awe of her newborn son he's so beautiful he has Jared's button nose and his eyes. He wraps his little hand around Nina's finger and holds on for dear life, he's so tiny but his grip is strong. One last kiss from both mommy and daddy and Jared hands him over to Dr. Reed "He's beautiful, you did good. So have you picked out a name for him yet?"

Out in the waiting room Julia and Constance are pacing the floor, Shannon isn't doing much better but he's trying to keep it together. After about and hour and a half Jared comes out with the baby in his arms. Although the doctor allowed him to do so he has to keep it brief. Constance tears up as she makes her way to a teary eyed Jared "Hey Tristan, would you love to meet your grandma?" He places the baby in Constance's arms "Oh Jared, he's so beautiful....." to Tristan "..... Yes you are, you're perfect just like your daddy when he was born" Shannon puts his arm around Jared and pulls him close "Congratulations Dad, you did good kid" J:"Thanks Shan, I still can't believe he's mine" Julia:"Oh Jared he's so beautiful..... Is he  going to be ok?" Jared:"The doctor says because he's 4 weeks early he's still considered a premie and he'll have to be in and out of an incubator for the next two weeks" Constance kisses the top of Tristan's head C:"My poor little Angel, what about Nina how's she doing?" J:"She's good, tired, but happy. They're stitching her up right now, I'll let you know when she's in a private room" S:"Will Tristan be coming home with Nina" Jared:"Don't know I guess the Doctor will decided that when its time" his face saddens at that he can't bare the thought of taking Nina home without the baby, they are his world now. He never though he could love another living soul like he loves Nina but this right here..... Tristan has his heart wrapped around his tiny little finger. He was his and something in his very soul told him so, Jared:"You really think he looks like me mom?" Constance smiles sweetly at him and caresses his cheek "Oh sweetheart I still remember the day you and Shannon were born, like it was yesterday. Holding Tristan is like holding you all over again" her eyes tear up as do Jared's and he kisses her cheek, she still can't believe her baby is now a daddy
