Two weeks later things have calmed down a bit or so it seemed. Nina is on the set of her latest modeling shoot, she tries to hold still and smile pretty for the camera while the butterfly in her belly flutters to and fro often times making her giggle. She's glowing and for the most part the photographer eats it up. P:"Someone's up, he's quite active today isn't he?" N:"Yes he is, I'm sorry if he's ruining your shot" P:"Are you kidding me, I'm loving that sweet smile he keeps putting on your face" Nina can't help but blush. P:"Hold it.... Perfect! Ok one more...... Got it! Ok sweetie why don't we break for lunch and we'll do the final outfit when we get back" J:"Sounds good to me" N:"Jared! Darling, perfect timing" J:"For you, always" P:"Hello there Jared, you think you can have her back in an hour?" J:"Absolutely" P:"Thank you, see you in an hour Nina" N:"I'll be here....." she changes out of her ensemble and heads out to lunch with Jared N:"So how was your meeting darling?" Jared gives her a cheeky grin J:"It actually went rather well" unbeknownst to her, his meeting was with Liam. He ran into him a week ago at an audition, Liam asked about Nina then apologized for upsetting her at the hospital. At first Jared was upset but Liam explained Chris had no idea he was there. They agreed to meet today and while the conversation was mostly civil Jared made it abundantly clear he wanted Chris as far away from Nina as possible. Liam agreed to relay the message and they went their separate ways. N:"So to what do I owe this pleasant surprise?" J:"I missed you ......." he places his hand on her belly "and our little angel" N:"He's missed you too, he's been moving like crazy all morning" Jared smiles big at that and lowers himself to eye level with her belly, his hands on either side J:"Did you miss daddy little butterfly, I missed you too" he kisses her belly and the baby flutters at his touch. His eyes light up J:"Wow.... I can feel him moving..... that's amazing" N:"He knows his daddy" J:"You really think so my love" N:"Of course he does Darling" J:"I love you both so much" he comes back up and takes Nina's lips. It makes her happy to see Jared happy and enthusiastic about the baby again. In the days that followed her near miscarriage Jared was loving and attentive but often times she would catch him lost in thought, his body was there but his mind was miles away. Slowly but surely he warmed back up to her but she couldn't help but live in fear that Chris would rear his ugly head back into their lives.

Liam did as he was told and relayed the message to Chris who didn't take it too well C:"You met with Leto!!!! Are you out of your mind?" L:"He said he wanted to talk about you and Nina" C:"What about Nina and I" L:"He wanted to know what I knew about the night you supposedly slept with her" C:"You didn't tell him the truth????? DID YOU???" L:"NOOO!!!! Of course not!!!! You swear Chris, you'd either be in jail or on a hospital bed in a full body cast awaiting plastic surgery right about now. Neither of which are on my wish list I assure you" C:"I'm sorry it's just.... what did you tell him?" J:"Only what you told me initially, that you ran into Nina and that you said you had a wonderful afternoon and you seemed happy" C:"How'd he take it?" L:"He told me Nina doesn't remember much and asked if I knew for certain if you slept with her, I told him you never confirmed nor denied it" Truth be told Chris would've preferred it if Liam would've lied to Leto and told him he did but he knows his little brother would never lie for him, as is he was riddled with guilt knowing what he did and not being able to come clean.

L:"There's more Chris" he looks at Liam quizzically C:"What do you mean?" L:"He wants you to stop coming after Nina, he says she's his and he's not letting her go" Chris' blood boils in his veins C:"That son of a bitch!!!! And exactly how does he plan on stopping me????" L:"Chris just let her go, she's happy with him, even a blind man can see that" C:"I can make her happy....... I did once..... I can do it again..... if she'd let me" L:"She's carrying another man's child Chris!!!!" C:"She thinks it might be mine" L:"Because you SEDATED HER!!! Chris Stop!!!! It's over, let her go" C:"I CAN'T!!!!! I don't know how!!!!!" L:"Look.....I know it hurts, I was there once before remember? ........ Yes it felt like the world was coming to an end, like the oxygen was ripped out of my lungs, but I'm fine now and you will be too" he pulls Chris into a hug, he hated to see him like this, knew how much he was hurting but he had to come to grips with his reality on his own terms.

Hours later Jared and Nina meet Shannon and Julia for dinner, they are celebrating Julia's new movie role, she's beyond excited and can't wait to share the news with them. Julia"Nina Darling you look ravishing" N:"Thank you Doll you're positively glowing so what are we celebrating" Julia"I got the part, I'm gonna be playing Marie Antoinette" N:"That's wonderful Darling I'm so happy for you" because it is a French period piece she'll be filming in France which means temporarily relocating to Paris. " Jared:"Will you be here when the baby is born?" S:"Filming doesn't start for another six months, we'll definitely be here when the baby comes. Speaking of which, you look beautiful Nina" N:"Why thank you Shannon that's so sweet of you to say" Julia:"I still can't believe we're going to be living in Paris for 4 months" N:"Neither can I Darling, oh we're gonna miss you guys" Julia:"We're gonna miss you too" S:"Actually you won't have time to miss me too much I already spoke to Miranda and I'll be commuting between here and Paris once a month I'll be doing photo shoots here and in New York, oh and there's a photo shoot in Hawaii after the baby is born she wants to book you for" N:"Me??? Really??? Wow that's incredible" Jared:"Congratulations sweetheart......" he gives Nina a hug and a kiss then turns his attention to Shannon "....... Wait so how did you manage that" S:"I didn't she's familiar with Nina's work and has wanted her for quite sometime and since she's expecting she figured this could be a good time to ask" Nina is beyond thrilled and flattered once you've modeled for Miranda Priestley you're worth your weight in gold in the Fashion and Beauty Industry.
