~Chapter 19~
Anna’s POV
I paced back and forth outside waiting for the mail, ugh why does the mailman take so long. I heard his car come up, I ran towards him and he gave all the mail to me. I looked through the mail and walked to the front door in my house. I found them, my mail to Yale University and Harvard University, I bit my lip and sat on the kitchen stool. I waited a few minutes to open the mail, I grabbed the Yale letter first. I read it and my eyes went wide, then I decided to open the Harvard letter to, my mouth dropped. I looked at both of the letters and compared them. I saw Alexa come in with Scar, she stopped and looked at me.
“Hey, is that the letters to Yale and Harvard” Alexa asked
“Yeah” I said quietly
“Well, what does it say” Alexa said running towards me.
“I” I said
“You” Alexa said after me
“I..I..I got accepted to both of them” I said smiling
“Oh my goodness, that great” Alexa said hugging me
“But, I don’t know which one to go” I admitted
“Which one did you want to go more?” Alexa asked
“Harvard” I said
“Well, pick Harvard then” Alexa said
“And turn Yale down” I said
“You want to go to both, huh?” Alexa said
“Yeah” I said frowning
“Well, it is your choice, anyways I need to take Scar for a walk see you in an hour max” Alexa said clipping a leash on Scar.
I sat there with my head in my hands, why did they both have to accept me. This is an amazing opportunity, Yale is the number 1 law school, and Harvard is the second best law school. I looked up and thought about it for a few more minutes and sighed, I have thought about what college I want to go to.
~1 Year Later~
“Alexandra Lewis” Mr. Lee said.
I was behind Alexa when she got her diploma, she was excited to leave high school because high school isn’t her favorite.
“Annabelle Lewis” Mr. Lee said.
I walked up the stairs and to the podium, I shook his hand and grabbed my diploma and smiled. They took picture of me and I hugged the assistant principal and walked back to my seat and sat down to watch everyone else get theirs.
“Joshua Lewis” Mr. Lee said next.
Josh walked up to him and grabbed his diploma, he raised his diploma and smiled at the camera. Josh smiled for victory and he is finally out of high school.
~After everyone got their Diploma~
“Everyone please stand” Mr. Lee said and everyone did what he said.
“Please move your tassels from right to left” He said and everyone did
“Congratulations Students you have graduated” he yelled and everyone threw their caps into the air.
After awhile everyone walked up to their families and took pictures, I ran to see Anthony with his girlfriend Tammy. They have been going out for a year, I ran up to him and hugged him, I hugged Tammy too. She already acted like a sister to me, she is super sweet , kind, and caring.
“Congrats Anna” they said
“Thank you” I said
“Did you decide what college you want to go?” Josh said out of no where
“Yeah” I said
“Which” Everyone said
“Harvard, the one I wanted to go to for a long time” I said
“Wow, that is a very hard school to get in, I applied and they denied me” Charlotte said
“Really?” I said with disbelief, Charlotte is a very smart girl.
“Yeah, but I applied to Stanford and got accepted” Charlotte said smiling
“That’s great” I said
“Yeah” Charlotte said
~1 Month Later~
I sighed and looked at my empty room, so much memories in this room. I saw that they would need to repaint the room, because the paint is chipping a bit.
“ANNA, GET DOWN HERE YOU NEED TO GET TO HARVARD NOW” I heard Josh yell
“I AM COMING” I yelled back
I walked to the door and turned the light off and closed the door and it made a soft click. I jogged down the stairs to see Josh, Charlotte, Alexa, and Bradd by the door. If you would guess why Bradd is here, Alexa and Bradd are going out now. She is moving in with him so she could go college near him, Josh is moving to California to be a pilot and he wants to be near Charlotte too. As you should know Daniel and I had to break up, because I don’t believe in long distant relationship and I know it won’t work. We knew it was for the best.
“Ready, I need to drive to California with Charlotte and I need you to move your car” Josh said
“Okay” I said grabbing my bag and keys
“Let’s go” I said and saw our parents outside and my mom crying and my dad confronting her.
“My babies, they grow up so fast” My mom cried we all hugged them and she cried a bit harder.
“We need to go” Josh said
“Okay, make sure you visit” My dad said
“Of Course” I said
“Well, have a safe trip and study hard” My dad said hugging me.
“We will” Alexa said
I got into my Ferrari and turned my car on and waited a minute and looked at my mom she and my dad waved at me goodbye. I backed out of the driveway and began to drive to Massachusetts for my future college waiting for me, in a few hours.
That drive for Josh would be a pain that is a far place to move, and he might be living in Malibu so he can stay in the beach house.
All these things happened to me all because of I Changed.
