"Tell us what?" I snap at my brother.
Tony fiddles with his thumbs, not wanting to speak.
"The H.Y.D.R.A. base in New York is the most dangerous." he mumbles.
"No, it's not. I'm not a child anymore. Tell me." I command.
"I-I-I-" Tony stumbles.
"Tony," Steve says. "I'm included. I've been around longer than any of you. I've been through things none of you would ever understand."
"I-I can't do this," Tony says, making himself as small as possible in his chair.
"Then I will," Natasha says, standing from her chair. "We are all in danger. Fury is just too scared to tell you. H.Y.D.R.A. has been our enemy for a while now, just ask Steve. But, they're looking for you two specifically. No one knows why, but they clearly know something we don't."
"That coward," I say, ignoring the last part. "Fury can lead S.H.I.E.L.D., but he can't tell two people that. I've had enough of his little games. Now, let's go home and show that man what we think."
"I agree," Bruce says. "And I've had enough of it."
"Me too," Natasha says.
"Yeah," Clint says.
Everyone glances at Tony with anticipation.
"I'm only agreeing because of Tori. Now, I'll pilot us home."•••
"We'll be home in about an hour." Tony announces to us.
Everyone cheers and happiness fills the quinjet. Steve and I sit next to each other at a table. Steve has a sketchbook out, drawing to keep himself entertained. I watch his pencil fly across the paper, creating multiple lines and a realistic drawing. He looks up consistently at Bruce's laptop, referencing off of a photo of the Avengers Tower. He constantly erases and making changes to it. I can tell that Steve is a bit stressed now, being a perfectionist.
"It looks perfect," I say to him, my chin resting on my palm.
Steve smiles and thanks me.
"I would never be able to draw that in a million years." I tell him. "How do you do it?"
"I attended an art school back before I was given the super soldier serum." he says.
"Oh," I say. "That explains a lot."
"Yeah," he mumbles and continues to draw.
I admire his pencil, gracefully gliding across the paper. I glance up at his eyes. His eyes are the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen. They are like a cloudless sky on a sunny day. They stare intently at the sketchbook, following the pencil.
Steve starts to shade the buildings, giving it an even more realistic look. When he finishes the Avengers Tower, it looks like you could step into the picture and feel its smooth glass windows. He continues doing the finishing touches on the surrounding buildings, shading them and adding details.
"I think I'm done," Steve sighs, lifting his pencil up from the paper.
"Really?" I ask him.
"Is there anything that I need to add?" he asks.
"Yeah," I say.
He hands me the pencil and nods for me to draw it. I give him a here-goes-nothing expression and press the tip of the lead to the paper. I swoosh across the top, adding clouds and sunlight. I shade and in some spots I leave light for the illusion of sun shining through the clouds.
As I lift the pencil, Steve gasps. I gaze at the art, looking at the Avengers Tower and then going up to the sky. To be honest, I'm really proud.
"T-That's amazing!" he exclaims.
I blush. "You really think so?"
"Yes! Now, time for the very last part."
I hand him the pencil and he signs his name and puts an "&" symbol on the bottom right corner, but leaves space underneath.
"Now, your name." he says, giving me the pencil.
I quickly stroke the pencil along the bottom, signing my own name. I smile at our work and put the pencil on the table.
"First work of art by Steve Rogers and Tori Stark." I say.
We laugh and examine the artwork over and over again.
"Get in your seats guys," Tony shouts. "We're landing!"
