Your eyes flashed open, your mind separating from your dreams. You pinched your eyebrows in confusion as you rose from your bed. Looking down at your shirt, you shake your head and blink as you realized it was damp from sweat. Maybe it was a dream? Rolling around in your bed, you feel your heart sink as deep as the ocean, realizing that you were probably right. But, nevertheless, you resorted to go on an adventure to ease your mind off of it. You force yourself to smile and stretch as you rose from your bed. You sat up, only to freeze as you saw a weird cloth on your desk chair. As you slowly walked over to inspect it, your heart and mind raced. You picked it up, and your (color) eyes widened. It was a cape, fabricated with a deep royal purple, thick and warm. You gasp softly as your brain was filled with euphoria, and you absentmindedly reached for your lips. Maybe it wasn't? Now the smile was coming without struggle as you dove into your bathroom, and took a shower. You hummed (song) in the steamy tub as you scrubbed away the salty residue of ocean water on your skin from your recent adventures. After that, you slid into your black leggings, (color) tank top, and the cape, 'cause, why the hell not? You glanced at the mirror portraying your awesome self as you winked and snapped your fingers, making two clicking sounds. Yes, you were aware that you were quite odd, but you didn't care; it was fun to be different. You fly down the stairs and was greeted by the amazing smell of French toast, and the sweet smell of warm syrup. You giddily race to the kitchen, and rested your head on your aunt's shoulder, looking at the beautiful masterpiece of bread caramelizing on the hot skillet.
"Morning!" You chirp as you quickly peck your sweet old aunt on the cheek.
She gives you a plate and you grin as you ran off to the syrup, receiving an amused chuckle from her. You chop off a piece of syrupy bread with the side of your fork and stabbed it. Its final destination? Your mouth. After your relishing of the delicious wake up call, you bounded towards the door, and opened it to a cloudy sky. You breathed in the air and sighed in contentment. The ocean was a deep grey blue as it's waves sweeped along the shore, like the beach greeted you when you opened the door. You jumped over the three steps connected to the porch and on the sand. Then your head snapped to your bare feet. You smacked your forehead. Of course, you forgot your shoes! But that didn't stop you, considering you had no attention to your attire, and could care even less than you actually do. So you skipped without care to the willows that were off to the side, their trunks pressing against the tide of the sea, the long hanging leaves swinging silently towards you. The sand swiped between your toes as you headed for your next adventure. You just got to the nearest tree when you heard a male shout behind you.
"Hey! W-what do you think you're doing?"
Your body freezes, your heart following suit. The scraping of sand under boots got closer as the holder of the voice approached behind you. You tense up as you feel a firm hand on your shoulder.
"This is my cape. W-what makes you think that you can take it?"
Out of fear and anticipation, you turn towards him.
What you saw shocked you. And apparently shocked him, as well. It was Eridan, the guy that "saved" you last night... But he looked different. Like he was more human than he was yesterday. He didn't have his horns, sharp teeth, or ear fins, not counting the fact that he still has the same hair and those alluring violet eyes, with a black T shirt and striped pants. His pale skin turned a shade of red under his big glasses as his eyes darted across your face, his hands grasping your shoulders, making sure you don't escape from his examining.
Your head turns to the side, your eyes never leaving his, your brow raised.
"Sweet dreams?" You asked warily.
His face turned a darker pigment and his eyes flashed open in surprise.
"How-w?... Do I know-w you?"
You shrugged. "Am I familiar?"
He nodded almost immediately. "Very. Did you have a dream of me last night, perchance?"
You nodded. "Wanna go on an adventure with me?" You offer.
He grinned slightly. "W-why not?"
You giggled, and started for the forest, but he caught you before you could.
He reached for the cape. "But first, if you're gonna w-wear my cape," he yanked you close enough for you to feel his breath, "w-wear it properly." With that, he fixed your collar.
You stood back and spun around, stopping to curtsy towards Eridan.
"Thank you, kind gentleman." You thanked in an exaggerated English accent.
He chuckled, rolling his eyes as he followed you in the willow forest.
You dashed behind a trunk and waited for Eridan to catch up to you. Finally, he appeared out of the leaves, searching for you.
"(Name)!" He called out from the other side of the tree you were behind.
You stifled your bubbly laughter and snuck behind him, and tickled his sides. He yelped rather loudly as you ran off to another hiding spot, cackling loudly enough for him to hear the sound of your voice trailing off. You swung up to a low hanging branch and laid in wait.
"No fair! This sand is making my footing w-wobbly!" He whined, stopping just under your dangling feet, oblivious to your location.
"Oh, quit being such a drama-baby." You retort, causing him to flinch and look up to your swinging legs, elbows on knees, and hands on chin, complimenting your never changing grin.
He pouted, slouching his shoulders and crossing his arms. "I'm not dramatic. And I'm fully grown."
"Physically, but not mentally." You snicker, pointing to your head.
He rolled his eyes, grabbing your ankle and started to tickle your bare feet.
You laughed uncontrollably, attempting to shake your leg out of his grip.
"S-s-tohop!" You cry out between laughs.
"Take it back!" Eridan demanded.
"N-never!"
"I'll pull you dow-wn from that tree!"
"O-hokay! Okay! I give i-hin! I'm so-horry!" You apologize with tears in your eyes.
Despite what he said, he pulled you down anyways, catching you and putting you to your feet. "I forgive you." He chuckled.
You wiped your eyes, chuckling as well. You brought out your hand behind your back, showing off your crossed fingers in front of his face before running off again. You emerged from the small forest, got to some rocks washed smooth from the tide, and hid under a large flat stone acting like a rooftop. You ran your hand on the cold, grainy surface and shivered in excitement. Then you jumped as Eridan grabbed your waist and pulled you out. You squealed as he spun in a circle before letting you down.

The rest of the day, you both got to know eachother well, and had fun climbing trees and finding creatures on the shore. When the sun was dipping into the ocean, you both said your goodbyes and went home, hoping to dream of each other once more.

A/N: Alright, had to end it somewhere. Please comment and give criticism! Hopefully, I can get my other stories on, as well. Eventually. See yah!
