"Psst. Romy. Romy." I groaned and rolled over to my stomach.
"Romy......" I then felt something poking me in the neck. It was really ticking me off now. I looked up from my pillow.
"What?!" I moaned. I then regretted looking up.
*MASSIVE FART NOISE*
"AHHWWHWHWHHW!" I groaned as I pushed Ezra off my bed.
"That reeks, jeez....." I scowled at him as I covered my mouth and noise. I sent a death glare at Ezra, which I received a raspberry being blown in my face. I glanced at my clock on the table next to me. 6:45 am.
'C'mon Ez, we have school. Get dressed, and your in charge of making lunch!' I said before he ran out. I got dressed in my school uniform, done my usual routine. By the time I was finished it was 7:15. I entered the kitchen to see Ezra eating cereal quietly. I poured my own cereal and a glass of water. I took a few bites when I glanced at Ezra.
'She up yet?' I asked bitterly. Ezra shook his head.
'Nup'.' We both finished our breakfast silently. I cleared the dishes, hung the washing out, and by the time I was finished, it was 8:08. I swung my bag onto my back and grabbed Ezra's bag. I headed to the front door and as usual saw Ezra sitting on the floor with his laptop on. And naturally he was playing 'Team Fortress', to be honest the game wasn't all that bad. I dropped his backpack next to him.
'Time's up, school.' I stated in a monotone voice. Ezra groans in misery.
'Please....Romy, please!'
'No, let's go! Now.' I said sternly. He muttered a 'Fine.' and slipped his laptop in his bag. I twisted the doorknob open and gestured Ezra to walk out. Before he did, like every other day when we head to school, he'd do something I'd never understand.
'Bye mum! Bye dad! I love you!' Our mum doesn't give a crap about us, our dad disappeared off and died. I asked him once, and I never asked again. He said- 'Yeah I know it's strange, but I like it. It makes me feel happy!' Weird kid, but that's him. Not to mention, quite shy and awkward. He's never had a fatherly figure to look up to, or a motherly figure too, so it's just a sisterly figure all along. But it's OK, we've gotten use to it.
'See ya Ez, remember, we have some shopping to do after school.'
'Yes I know, bye.' he said quickly.
'Well have fun.' I reminded him and ruffled his hair.
'I'll try.' he muttered faintly. I then headed off to school myself which was only a few blocks away. I had a few friends at school, but most of the people there are fake. They use you if they think you're worth something then afterwards you're just a shadow to them. But I'd stay out of their way.
'Hey Romy!' I directed my head towards the voice to see Mae, one of my friends. She was quite tall, with a slim body, but when you look up, her face doesn't seem to match her body. Mae had a pudgy baby face, big hazel eyes, with thin chestnut brown hair. One word about her- dancing. She's obsessed with it and not one person does not know about this. She's kind but she can get quite nagging. I gave her a small wave and continued my walk down to my locker.
I kept on walking until I saw the only person I was closest to at school. Hazel.
'Hazel.' I called out. She turned and walked up to me giving me smile.
'Hey Rosemary.' I narrowed my eyes at her.
'Don't call me that, it makes me sound so....so...'
'So what?!' I pursed my lips.
