They always had to compete. In this society, it's completely normal for people to be so close to hate each other so much. Richard was the school jock that had straight A's, the popular guy, and the one that always had the girls running in circles, trying to shoot their cupid arrows and flirty eyes towards his entrancing gaze. Some would consider him a hard-ass and a know- it-all, but you really can't criticize him on being right ll the time. Well, most of the time. That's where Alexandra comes in.

Alexandra was the bad girl. The one that had men barking at the end of their chains for her feminine beauty.Alexandra was smart, sophisticated, out-going, well organized, and a perfectionist. She was the perfect embodiment of what a woman should look like and strive to be. Alexandra was considered the female version of Richard. No wonder they fought so much. They were just too much alike. Richard and Alexandra would always fight for being the top of their class. You could call them frenemies, except they never were nice to each other. Many recall the incident where they had fought over 1st place in the spelling bee. That lasted for a total of 3 hours alone of them going back and forth finally resulting in the principal of their grade school to call the competition a tie between the two. Even in the picture for the year book they are fighting for their spot on the podium. Their friends recollect the time when they even got into a rap battle at the end of their senior year. A simple bystander could see the resentment that they each held for each other. In the military academy they each scored the highest in their grade and the highest honor. But thankfully, for everyone that has ever encountered Alexandra or Richard and ever will, they each accepted job offers for different police precincts, in different states. Well, that is until Richard received a promotion.
