~ I couldn't believe Ryder wanted me to tag along with him to scout out outside The Fort.
Why me?? I thought nobody needed my help, I usually work alone, if I didn't it was with Sunny. Ryder likes to be independent also, when I chat with Quinn he usually comes and complains why his father doesn't come to him for a certain job, so it's rather odd he asks me.
~ "when?" I ask. He replies like he's been planning the time "tomorrow morning, 8, see you then.." he leaves and leaves me hanging in the middle of the building, I head out and head back to the house.
~ It was pouring, I run to the house as fast as I can when I see something strange running towards me in the distance. I scout to see what it is and find that it was 3 of The Widows daughters, at the same time they throw ninja stars shaped like butterflies at me, I duck immediately and get the two swords off my back and prepare for the worst.
~ One of them comes at me with a sword and the others throw more stars, I happen to dodge the stars but one of them cuts the side of the arm, the chick with the sword strikes at me and I happen to slit her throat by the slightest edge of my sword, she falls to the ground while one girl back off and runs away into the distance, but the second one, doesn't back off for the world.
~ She knocks the swords out of my hand, she was a super fast acting. I had no choice but to be fast acting too, I was taught to be fast by Sunny, it's crazy how fast a clipper has to be.
~ In fact, the girl was too fast, she looked about, 18, I bet The Widow taught her everything, and believe me, I know how fast The Widow is. She knocks me to the ground and I hit my head, she grabs the cover that I put my sword in and she puts it around my neck.
~ I'm gagging and choking, in the pouring rain, I felt like I was in the middle of nowhere, I start to see blur, and begin to pass out. Suddenly I hear her scream in pain behind me. She falls to the ground and I get up coughing in relief, I see Ryder with my sword in his hand. "are you okay?!" he asks, he gives me his hand and helps me up, "now I am.." I reply. He looks at me and checks my throat for any damage.
~ "You look okay, next time, run in the house before you fight." He says with a grin.
I hug him, tightly, I haven't been so grateful in a long time, he saved me. He hugs back, and whispers in my ear before he let go of the hug.
"I guess now we're even."
