Chapter 8:Smile by Smile

'Ring you damn bell, RING!' I said in my head as I watched the clock. Even though I knew that watching that stupid clock would make time go slower I still kept my eyes on it anyways. I tapped my pencil off my table and watched the clock. Mr West was going on about the circle even though he had all ready taught us that. 

'Come On' I repeated in my head until The bell went off. I smiled as I slammed my math book closed and grabbed my bag from under the table. I threw my pencil case in my bag and zipped my bag up. I threw my bag on my back anf darted,out the door and down the hall, to my locker. As I was putting my books back Kitty and Unique came running up to me.

"Good luck with Ryder" Unique said raising her eyebrows.

"Yeah, you have to tell us what happened later on" Kitty said throwing her bag over her shoulder.

"Skype me later both of you and i'll tell you what happened" I told them closing my locker shut.

They both agreed and then we said our goodbye's and goodluck's, before they left. I walked out through the parking lot and ran around the side of the school. Past the football field and through the tennis courts, gosh I sound like Dora. Anyway after a short walk I finally made it. Ryder was sitting on a old, wooden, faded green painted bench. The green paint was chipped and it wasn't a very nice green colour.

"Hey" Ryder said as he stood up and saw me.

"Hey" I replied smiling. "So what did you want me here for?" I asked him looking around at the basketball court.

"Oh yeah, um Marley could you sit down for a second?" He asked me while rubbing the back of his head.

"Sure, yeah" I said as I sat down beside him.

"Well, um" He said obviously nervous

I put my hand on his hand.

"Ryder, what's wrong?" I asked him looking into his brown eyes.

"Well, there's this girl, and she's in the school and I really, really like her, but I don't know how to tell her that I like her" He said making my heart sink. "How should I tell her?" 

My heart was broken in two. The guy that I like as just told me that he like's another girl. I was holding back all the tears that were about to fall down my cheeks. But since Ryder is also my friend I should tell him how to tell him that he like's this girl.

"Well, just tell her. Take her hand and look her straight in the eye and smile at her and..tell her" I told him.

He smiled at me and took my hand. He looked me straight in the eye and said:

"Marley Rose, I am in love with you."

At first I didn't know what to say. I just sat there looking at him. He was so perfect , I mean his hair, his skin, his eyes everything was perfect. And all that perfectness likes me.

"W-what?" I asked him shocked.

"Yeah, I've been meaning to tell you that for a long time" Ryder said making me smile.

"You have?" I asked as he looked down at the ground.

"Yeah, I mean I have always liked you" He said as my smile grew bigger.

"I love you too" I replied making him look up"

"You love me?" Ryder asked looking at me smiling.

"I always have" I said smiling.

Ryder and I just looked at each other for which felt like forever, but I liked it. He made me feel like I was the one. Like I was his forevermore. I liked him and he liked me, life couldn't be better now. Just then Ryder laughed and then his phone buzzed. He looked at me and smiled.

"Need a ride home?" He asked me.

I nodded and he took my hand. We walked to his car hand in hand and when we reached the car he walked over to my side and opened the door for me. I kissed his cheek and got in. He jumped in the other side and then smiled at me.

"Ready to go?" He asked me as he placed his hand on mine.

"Yep" I said actually holding his hand.

We drove off and the whole time we talked about  random things. It was one of the most comfortable car ride that I had with Ryder in about 3 months. We were officially a couple, well that's what I would call us. 

"Ryder?" I asked him.

"Yeah."

"What would you call us, like together?" I asked him as he looked over at me.

"Well, I would call us a couple...Ryley to be exact" He said making me laugh.

"Ryley?" I asked him.

"Yes Ryley, It's a mix of our names" Ryder said smiling.

"Oh, well that's very creative" I said laughing.

He dropped me off at my house about five minutes later.

"Bye" I said as I kissed his cheek.

"Bye" He said as I got out of the car.

I walked over to the door and got my keys out. I waved goodbye to him as I walked into my house. I skipped into the kitchen were my mom was sitting.

"Hey mom" I said smiling.

"Hey Marley how was school today?" She asked me, while she put the newspaper down.

"Great, everything is just great" I said smiling.

"Are you alright?" She asked me ask I was about to walk out the the kitchen.

"Yes, because everything is just...PERFECT" I yelled as I skipped up the stairs.

I walked into my room and I threw myself on my bed and check facebook and there was something on Ryder's page that wasn't there before.
