Chapter 6: Lie by Lie

I couldn't sleep at all that night. The image of Kitty and Ryder kissing was playing over and over in my mind. I know that I didn't see them kiss or anything it's just the picture of them kissing makes me sick to the stomach. I'm not angry at them for kissing each other. I'm angry at them because they lied to me.  If Ryder had told me that he and Kitty were together I wouldn't of been as hurt as I am now. I kept rolling around in my bed trying to get him out of my head...but I couldn't. That night I came to a point were I couldn't take it anymore. I jumped out of my bed and ran to the bathroom. I fell to the ground and threw my head into the toilet. The vomit was pouring out of my mouth. I felt horrible.

My Mom had ran in and saw me. She grabbed my hair back from my face while I got sick. I was sweating and I really didn't feel to good at all. When I finished getting sick my Mom made me change out my pyjamas that had sick on them. She ran down the stairs and got me a glass of ice cold water to stop the sweating. I brushed my teeth to get rid of the horrible smell in my mouth. I felt dizzy and sick. After my Mom had tucked me back into bed she told me that I wasn't going to school tomorrow because of the fever on me. I agreed and she left. I could sleep then but it was only for about an hour.

My Mom had said goodbye to me that morning and she left  for work. I stayed in the bed for about two hours and got some sleep. At about ten I dragged myself out of the bed and down the stairs. I had my pillow, blanket and some other things in my hand. I threw the pillow and blanket on the couch and plopped myself down. I searched through the TV channels and nothing was on. The only thing that was on was some old music channel. I rolled my eyes and turned it on. Turned out that it was playing 'The Script.' 

I watched interviews with 'The Script' and listened to some of their songs. It was like I was in a different world with The Script. Their music spoke to me. It told me stories of love and family. It took a while before their most famous song 'Hall of Fame' came on. Then as I listened to the song it gave me courage.

'You could be the greatest, You could be the best, You could be the King Kong banging on your chest.  You could beat the world, You could beat the war, You could talk to God go banging on his door. You can throw your hands up, You can beat the clock, You can move a mountain, You can break rocks. You can be a master don't wait for luck, Dedicate yourself and you can find yourself Standing in the Hall of Fame'

 I sat up and sang with the music. I taught of what had happened yesterday and I felt stronger. I felt more in control as I sang the chorus.

'And the worlds gonna know your name. Cause you burn with the brightest flame. And the worlds gonna know your name. And you'll be on the walls of the Hall of Fame'

I stood up and smiled. I was feeling better already and I was belting out the lyrics of the song. I knew that if I let Ryder and Kitty get in her way that I would still be weak like I was this moring.

I started to dance and jump up and down. I picked up the TV remote and used that as a microphone. I closed her eyes and I saw the crowd singing with me. I felt the thrill of the crowd screaming my name as they sang with me.

'And the world gonna know your name, Cause you burn with the brigtest flame, And the worlds gonna know your name, And you'll be on the walls of the Hall of Fame'

I waved my hands to the side as I sang with the crowd. I looked around and I knew that there was a full house. Like in my dream when I was eight or nine I could feel the full house.
