Annie's POV
After I wake up I get up and everyone's eyes are puffy and red. I ask what happened. But the only person to make a noise is Hayley and she sniffs. I yell louder "WHAT HAPPENED?" Autumn falls down crying. I'm so confused. What happened? Katie whispers lifelessly "Brennan.....is.....in.....the.....hospital." I look up and she does too. I hug her. My mom says "He had a heart attack."
I run up to my bathroom and lock the door and scream and scream and scream until I can't make anymore noise. I cry until it hurts. I bang my head into the wall until I feel like dying but nothing works.
I think in my head, Little do you know how I'm breaking when you fall asleep. I can't do this. I lay down and accept it, I can't take it. I won't take it.
