I wake up and scratch the back of my neck. I was so tired because I spent the whole night pondering the solution to this hard problem. I went to the bathroom and splash cold water into my face to wake me up. I close my eyes and felt around for a towel, not daring to look in the mirror.

I then do my regular morning routine, including being yelled at my parents for doing everything wrong. I grab my backpack and headed out the door. While I was walking, I was still thinking about last night. His weird behavior and his eyes.

Those eyes I could not remove from my head. Those images of them I see over and over again. This is bothering me so much, why can I not figure it out? I feel like the answer is staring me in the face. Speaking of staring me in the face, Cameron ran up to me to with me to school.

"Hey angel, how are you feeling?" He asks catching his breath.

"I am fine, but I am more concerned about you and your wellbeing," I said looking down at the pavement.

"Look, I know that you are worried about what happened last night, but I just can not tell you," he said looking over at me.

"Why not?" I asked annoyed,"You can trust me, I will not tell anyone, I will not judge you."

"This type of secret will drive you away, and I do not want that," he said biting his lip,"I will need to think about it."

"I do not know why you close me off, but I will give space to think about it," I said running forward.

I ran away feeling my heart breaking. Why can he not trust me? He should not be embarrassed about this. Besides he is basically hanging out with an embarrassment. When I arrived at school, I see the whole school crowded around the building.

When I arrived I was astonished of what I am looking at. Scratch marks that cut through the bricks of the school. It looks like Wolverine has paid a visit to Blackwood High. Some windows are smashed and the front metal doors are across the street, smashed, and have many dents on it.

I hear people talking about someone or something coming here in the middle of the night and destroying everything. I looked inside the school: some lockers are dented, the trophy case has been toppled over, and the art on the walls have been teared to smithereens.

What ever that monster was, it was long gone now. I felt a tap on my shoulder, and Cameron was standing there in front of me, out of breath. He was trying to apologize and in the middle of his sentence, he saw the massacre that is in front of him.

"It looks like all natural disasters came together and punish the school," he said astonished,"What happened?"

"No one has a clear answer, like some people,"I said giving him a glare,"Rumor has it, that someone or something destroyed the school in the middle of the night."

He nodded and I notice he had fear behind those eyes. Something is up and I think it has something to do with the destruction of the school. He looks down at the floor and stayed silent. I sense this fear of his secret being blown.

"Cameron, do you know who did this?" I asked coming closer.

"N-No, why?" He stutter not daring to look in my eyes.

"I can tell me I will not tell anyone," I said pressing my chest against his.

"S-Shawn, please stay away from me," he said backing up.

"I will find out, Cameron," I said leaning up to his face,"Do not think I will not find out."

He whimpers and bites his lip. I know he did something to cause this destruction. He is not at ease like he was before. His cheeks are flushed red, his eyes are black behind those shades, and his jaw is clenched. I take his hand and walk him over to the woods where nobody could see us.

While we were walking deeper in the woods. There was the same Wolverine scratches that were on the school and were imprinted on the trees. Corpses of rabbits, deer, and foxes were scattered across the forest floor. Blood painted the forest like a portrait. Death spread throughout like a foul odor.

"What did you do last night?" I asked turning back towards him.

"Nothing," He said annoyed,"Jesus Christ, leave me be!"

"I know you did something," I said angrily,"Do not act so innocent."

I hear a low growl escape from his lips. He looked down at his hands and hid them behind his back. I was about to reach for it, he made a run for it leaving me behind.

I was confused and angry at him. I know I am being nosy, but all I want to do is help him. Is that too much to ask? Since he help me with my self esteem and the bullies, I want to help him now, with whatever kind of problem he has.

I watch him as he runs further and further away from me. I can almost feel the fear that he is harboring in his heart. The way he was angered by me caring about him, makes me cringe. I feel this is my fault that he is hiding something from me. I do not know why it is just easier to blame me. I feel that I am driving him to destroy and hide.

I look back at the destroyed school, seeing the press came in like a storm, bombarding all the students and staff with questions. The story that will break this town. I watch them as I laugh to myself, knowing they will never find the truth by asking them questions.

The truth lies with the boy with the dark shades who I drove to this self destruction, and destruction of private property.
