"Alby! Your just being plain sexist!" you yell at him.
"I'm not, Y/N!" he yells back at you, "It's too dangerous for you!"
"You've seen what I can do Alby! I'm almost as good as Minho! Ask him yourself and see what h-"
"I'm not going to ask Minho!" his voice firm, "You can't get everything!"
"Oh so you think I'm so shucking perfetct?" you throw your arms up in rage. "Because I have such an amazing life?"
"Y/N-"
"No Alby! I am in the exact position as you are! Just because I am a girl does not mean I should be treated any different than anyone else here!"
"Well, you know what Y/N?"
"WHAT," you growl at him staking a step closer to him.
"I couldn't give a shuck!GROW UP! Please, for once do me a favour and get out of my sight!"
You stumble back, hurt by what he just said. You spin and run as fast as possible away from him. Tears escape your eyes but you don't care to wipe them. You have no clue where your going but that doesn't matter either.
You end up at the East wall of the maze, far out of sight from any of the gladers. You slide down the wall and hug your knees, sobbing quietly into them.
Maybe you should just grow up and stop being so stupid. You know that's what Alby thinks about you. He thinks you can't look after yourself properly so he treats you like a stupid child. Well, your not a child. You are capable of being a runner ad Alby knows that but can't handle the fact that your right this time and he isn't.
Your head is pounding, mixed emotions running through your body: anger; frustration; sadness and so many more that are trapped in your mind- unable to escape, be free. That's how you feel right now.
You bury your head into your knees. Tears stream down your face, your hair sticks to your cheeks. Your a wreck.
You don't hear the footsteps jog towards you, your too busy lost in your thoughts. But you feel a body sit next to you. You know who it is as a strong, muscly arm is wrapped around you and pulled into them.
Looking up you aren't surprised who it is. Minho.
He wipes your cheeks with his spare hand, with a soft smile on his face. You sigh and rest your head onto his shoulder, enjoying his presence. You sit in silence for a bit, listening to the glade at work.
"What happened Y/N?" he says finally, into your hair, rubbing circles on your arms. You sigh and continue listening to his steady heartbeat.
You then respond by shaking your head, not wanting to talk about it. But at the same time you do want to talk about it. No, you want to scream. Shout. But you can't. Something is holding you back.
He breaths heavily and pulls you in closer. You close your eyes and he kisses your head and you eventually drift of to sleep, feeling protected and safe in his arms.
