Chapter 7:

It was starting to get dark out, and Mitch wasn't up yet. 'maybe I should wake him up' I thought as I paced in the kitchen. Listening to the clock tick every second, making me almost lose control. Mason and coy was going to be back soon, and Mitch hasn't once woken up. I didn't want to wait another day to leave, who knows what will happen to him by then

'guess its the waiting game' I thought and sighed, as I stopped pacing and looked toward Mitch's room. Wondering if he was up but I didn't know.

'don't worry yourself, isn't like he almost died or anything. Oh wait! He almost did!' screamed a voice in my head making me flinch. I growled in anger hoping that was the only voice talking shit. Shaking my head I moved to the living room and turned on the tv on the immortal news channel.

I stood watching as they were talking on and on about this some sort of "evil" or "bitter" weather coming in, that is only visible to us immortals.

"now as you can see, we are going to be seeing a thick fog moving in over the sky. Warning stay in doors at all times. Leaders believe it is the bitter darkness showing once more-"

"blah blah blah, I don't care, there is no such thing" I growled as I turned off the tv.

As soon as I did I heard a loud bang from upstairs in the attic. I cringe not wanting to know, and looked toward Mitch's room seeing his door wide open. I narrow my eyes. His door was closed last, plus I had his light on, now it's pitch black, wtf is going on.

I growl my guard going up, and I spread out my senses. Swiftly walking to the door I pear in, but I couldn't see a thing.

"damnit" I growled as I went for the light switch, but I instantly felt a sharp pain go right through the center of my hand.

Screaming in pain I backed up into the wall behind me, leaving mitch's room. I breathed heavily and slid down to the floor and looked at my hurting hand. It had a huge gash in it, blood was flowing out of it and to the floor constant.

"wtf!" I yelled and stood up running to the kitchen, as I heard evil laughter echo all around me. Whatever I didn't care. I grabbed some paper towels and wrapped them around my hand. I did this cuz I couldn't heal myself for some odd reason. Also I suddenly felt weak, like I couldn't use my powers anymore.

"megan!" called a very familiar voice, but it had a hint of something that I didn't recognize in it.

I turned around and looked toward where the voice was coming from. All I could see was a pair of neon green eyes looking directly toward me. The figure that belongs to the eyes was identical to Mitch's. The only thing that wasn't understandable was, Mitch doesn't have neon green eyes, it sorta frightened me.

"mitch?" I ask quietly, trying not to tremble as I walked toward him, but I stopped feeling a sudden sharpness go right through my skull. Making me almost scream, but I dropped to the floor in pain, and held my head tight with my hands.

I managed to look up and watched as Mitch moved toward me. He was caring a shiny object with a wooden handle. My eyes went wide as I noticed that object was a knife.

"Mitch what are you doing?" I asked shaking a bit, but I knew that he wouldnt harm me.

Mitch stopped and looked at me, well glared at me. As if saying shush, but I caught something in his eyes, they were screaming help. That when I knew it was someone controlling mitch's body.

I growled but Mitch laughed and moved toward a clear white wall. Slowly he put the knife to his wrist, then sliced it. Making me cringe as blood started pouring from his cut and onto the floor rapidly.

He dropped the knife onto the floor making a cling. Then dipped his fingers into his blood and spelled out a name. A name I never wanted to see again from my first incounter.

As he finished, Mitch passes out onto the floor! Knowing the person left his body I ran up to him and held him in my arms.

I healed up his wound then look up to the forbidden name that was splattered onto the wall. That name was Insane.
