Chapter 4:

I stood 5 feet from the door, watching Mason get off his horse. I narrow my eyes in wonder, because Mason wasn't acting like himself. He stayed there by his horse's side, and petted his horse. Tears flowing down his face, as he trembles and buries his head into thunders back. Thunder nayed a bit and tried to comfort him. I shook my head and gained up the courage, and opened the door, only stepping out onto the porch. I couldn't help but worry and also feel sorry for Mason. I know it's hard for me to know how Mitch is doing, but it must be killing him from inside out. I sighed and walked over to Mason in a hurry. He was still crying, trembling, and now shaking his head repeatedly. Which I knew what he was thinking, it was easy to get into his head.

"Mason?" I said gently, only staying 4 feet near him. Hoping he won't get pissed and take his anger out on me. Even if he was sad I didn't want to take the chance.

I waited there for 3mins, but Mason didn't answer me. Which made me worry even more.

"Mason" I repeated a tiny bit more louder than the first time. Hoping he heard me, because I do not feel like yelling.

"what?" Mason growled at me in annoyance. Not looking at me as he spoke.

I flinched a bit, not liking how this conversation might end up.

"did u get a hold of Drain?" I asked quietly, keeping my voice down an still keeping a fair distance from Mason. Don't want to take chances.

"yes I found him" he replied in a less anger tone. He seemed rather more of disappointed.

"well what did he say? Can he help Mitch?" I asked hoping like hell that Drain could help my brother. It's usually rare when it comes to Drain not being able to. He always finds a way, even if it's usually not the kind of way that you would like it to be.

Mason turned his head and looked at me, and narrowed his eyes on me, as if I was some stupid idiot, asking tons of stupid questions. "what the hell do you think!" he yelled at me, making me jolt a bit, I wasn't expecting an outburst from him. I was about to say something when he glared at me, making me shut my mouth, knowing he was saying not another fucking word. Mason smirked at me, guessing he caught the fear in my eyes. He walked up to me now 1 ft away from me and crossed his arms over his chest, and looked at me coldly.

"your dream worker Drain said he couldn't find a way to help him, what do u think now of ur fucking friend!, I thought he knows everything!" he yelled right at my face, making me tremble and step back a bit.

"t-there h-h-has to be something he said that could of helped....there usually is, I know Drain" I said sorta stuttering some of my words because the amount of fear Mason put in me.

Mason laughed and shook his head, looking toward the woods. then looked back at me and shook his head slowly. "The only think that Drain said that he could do is turn him into a fucking demonic" Mason growled, his tone filled with hatred. which was quite understandable, knowing the fact that he utterly hates my race of being a demonic.

I shook my head in confusion and looked at Mason still. "why is the only way that he can come up with, is turning him into a demonic?" I asked not really understanding the idea. which even if I knew the reason, I would not turn my own brother into a demonic even if it would save his life. It is much to painful, plus you gain a lot of mental thoughts in you that tares you down. Plus it totally alters his own personality. if he is kind now, he would be a total asshole when demonic, plus his urges will change as well.

"well let me see, since your the one that caused this-" he started to say really rudely until I cut him off, which might have been the dumbest thing I did.
