(updating Kelsey's character bc y'all petty lmaooo)
I wake up to my phone ringing the hotline bling marimba ringtone (lmao at myself), it's my mom."Hey."
"Hey honey, me and your father just went to breakfast and then we're going to our hotel room to get ready for the reception." She explains.
"Ok, hey do you care if I hang out with a friend or two today?" I ask.
"Depends who it is and what you're doing..."
"Umm my new friends Ethan and Lizzie." I tell her. (I'm not having Lizzie over but I can just tell her that so she feels better about the situation.)
"Who's this Ethan boy you're talking about?" I can just imagine her face right now.
"I met him at school.. I don't know we're just friends mom don't worry."
"I'm not worried I just don't know what he's like."
"That's being worried. Mom, he's a good guy. Trust me. Love you and have fun!" I quickly try to end the call as I see its 1:24 already.
"Okok, love you. Call me at 6!" She says and hangs up.Finally. I go to imessages and text Ethan.
Me: *Hey, sorry I just woke up.*
E: *Thats ok wyd*
Me: *Im just gunna get ready then we can do something if you're still up for it?*
E: *Definitely😊*He used a blushy emoji. A blushy emoji. This is big news even though it sounds totally dumb and girlish, an emoji is very serious, especially a blushy one.
I pick out a cute little outfit for our day;
a gray tshirt (that's short and ties in the front), and high waisted yoga pants so you can't see my stomach. I top it off with brushing my hair and throwing it up in a messy bun, which I totally nail (after the 12th time).I run into the bathroom and coat my face in a little powder and put mascara on. I'm not a big fan of makeup and I'm also too lazy to do it so I just touch my face up a little bit.
I grab some grey and black vans and slide them on, grab my phone and sling my purse over my shoulder after spraying on my favorite perfume and run downstairs.
I text Ethan:
Me: *Ok I'm ready, when should I come over?*
E: *Now but I'll get you*
Me: *Are you sure?* I can totally drive ya know*
E: *of course. I'm coming now don't go near your car* he says as I giggle and slide my phone into my purse, along with money so he doesn't have to pay for me. Although it would be nice, I mean if it were a little date but I still am bringing some so I don't show up empty handed, expecting him to pay.A couple minutes later, my thoughts are interrupted by a car horn. I run out the door to see Ethan in his shiny black car.
He smiles and waves to me as I get in.
"Wow you look absolutely stunning." He smiles at me looking up and down.
"Oh my gosh thanks but I just threw this on." I giggle.
"Well for throwing that on you look beautiful."His words make my face turn pink and I don't deny it.
"Thank ya, you don't look to shabby yourself." I continue to giggle.
"Why thank you ma lady." He sort of bows down considering he's driving a car.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"It's a surprise."
"Unless you don't like ice cream." He continues.
"I'm gunna guess we're getting ice cream." I laugh.
"Dammit I'm terrible with surprises!" He laughs really loud it turned into a wheeze, which made me crack up.
"Your laugh is so contagious!!" I yell over our laughter.
"So is yours, well it's more cute than contagious." He smirks at me.
"Oh my you are just full of flintiness." I sort of smirk back unintentionally.
"As far as you know..." He leads me on as we park and he gets out.I think to myself for a minute. I obviously assume he likes me because he's flirting heavily and is calling be cute and all this stuff, but I'm wondering if this will turn into like dating and the cute high school relationship which I sure as hell hope it does.
I snap out of my thoughts and get out as he holds the door open for me.
"Thank you!" I smile.
"No problemo." He smiles in return as we walk inside. It's a cute little ice cream shop and it's very warm and cozy. He lets me pick out a table, so I pick a little two person one by the wall and counter.
He tells me to sit down and asks what I want.
"I can go and order you know." I chuckle.
"I know but I want to order as a treat."
"Now tell me what ya want girly." He teases.
"Umm a chocolate shake?" I ask.
"Chocolate fudge? Whipped cream?" He asks.
"Yes sir."
"Gotcha."
"Thanks!" I yell to him as he walks up to the counter. After a couple minutes, he comes back with our shakes and sits down, handing me mine. It's in a cute little glass mug and is very neat and pretty (this place is very precise with decor).
"Thanks." I blush.
"It's no problem." He repeats.
"Oh here-" I say as I reach into my purse to grab a couple bucks.
"No no. It's my treat." He pushes the money away.
"No I'll pay for mine it's totally ok, I don't wanna take advantage." I try and slide it into his hand but he doesn't take it.
"No Kelsey. It's my treat." He smiles as I give in.
"Okayyy... thanks." I say again.
"Oh my gosh!" He laughs, making the wheezing noise as I start dying in laughter. We sit at the little table and talk about ourselves and interests and drink our shakes. After we talk, I look at the time to see its 5:27. We've been here for almost 3 hours just talking. I loved this so, so much.
"Well we should probably get going." I laugh.
"Oh shit I didn't see the time." He says as we get up and he leaves a tip.We get in the car and drive towards my house. Once we get there it's almost dark out because of stupid daylight savings. He finally pulls into the driveway as I grab my purse and open the door, getting out.
"Hey, wanna come in?" I ask as he looks at me in surprise.
"Really?"
"Yea, nobody's here." I giggle.
"Ok if you won't get in trouble I will." He chuckles.
"It's fineeee.. c'mon."He gives in as we walk inside.
"I had a really really fun day Kelsey." He inches close to me, looking into my eyes.
"I did too Ethan." I smile. We stare into each other's eyes for a couple seconds which felt like hours as he leans in and our lips crash.
