The Last Night

Austin's P.O.V

We pull into the driveway of the house and I grow annoyed at the fact knowing he is here. Maxine slowly begins to exit the car and I stop her "Maxine you can't go in there by yourself, I'm coming with you." She shakes her head "No Austin, just wait here I promise I'll be out quickly." Before I can protest she gets out the car and walks into the house.

Maxine's P.O.V

Before Austin can say anything I walk into the house, quickly running into my bedroom grabbing everything I can an shoving them into bags when I hear a chuckle "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" I take a deep breath and look at Michael "This is the last night Michael, you and I are finished, this is the last time you will see me and yesterday was the last fucking time you raise your hand to me." I'm shocked when I realize what I just said. I have never stood up to him and it felt pretty damn good, why should I let him control me and ruin my one and only life. I walk past him and grab my makeup and hair supplies and put them in a bag. I also grab all my shoes and drop them in a small suitcase. I turn around to get my remaining items when I feel smack and a sharp stinging pain across my face, I look up I'm terror and see Michael and the door is closed "You aren't leaving me! Do you understand me? You are not leaving because I am the only person who will deal with your crazy ass. He screams in my face followed by a slap. I fall to the ground in tears hoping Austin does not come in here and that I can make it out.

Austin's P.O.V

I get uncomfortable in the car "She should be out by now." I mumble. Suddenly I see a figure running, my first instinct tells me to go in. I jump out the car and run inside the house "Maxine, where are you?" I look all over until I hear a crash and see Maxine tumbling down the stairs. I quickly run to her side and shake her gently "Maxine, can you hear me ?" She groans and her hair falls over her eyes. I hear a laugh "You're the faggot that came and saved her yesterday?  I think you're a little late" I saw a flash of red and ran up those stairs and began punching, just punching. I picked him up and threw him against the wall I look him dead in the eye and see fear "This is it! She is done with you and if you ever in your life come near her again I'll kill you with my bare hands and regret nothing." I snarl in his face, I punch him one last time sending him into an involuntary slumber.

I run back down the stairs and pick up Maxine's body and put her in the car. I then quickly run back in the house and grab everything she has and put them in the car trunk. I race to the drivers seat and press on the gas trying to get to my house as fast as I can. I begin talking to myself in the car "Please,  let her be okay. I'm begging."
