"Hey Mami. Are you sure you, Kyoko and Sayaka can get the rest of the party done?" Madoka asked unsure. "Yes, all we have to do is clean the kitchen and.... well that's about it!" Mami answered. "Okay. Homura and I are-" Madoka stopped herself and remembered that they were going out today, so she just continued nervously with,"We have something important to do today..." "Don't worry Madoka! We can take care of this!" Sayaka yelled from across the room. And with that, Madoka left to find Homura.

Since winter break came faster then expected, Madoka and Homura decided to move ahead of scheudal. Neither of them knew the intensions of any of the others.
Homura had been waiting for Madoka for about 10 minutes near a the mall (The one Madoka and Sayaka went to in episode 1) "Sorry! Did you wait long, Homura?" Madoka yelled to Homura as she ran. "I'm not sure... It didn't feel long..." Homura replied, feeling slightly awkward. "Anyways, where should we go to?" Homura asked shyly. "How about we just go inside the mall?" Madoka asked, obviously already enjoying herself. They both agreed to go in.
They went into the music shop, seeing what there was. "Hey Madoka, what's your favorite band?" Homura asked out of curiosity. "Well, I'd have to say *Claris." Madoka answered. "My favorite songs by them would be *Connect, *Luminous, and a really recent song called *Colorful." "I'm not sure where, but I feel like I've heard those songs before..." Homura answered. "What about you...?" Madoka wondered. "Mine would have to be *Kalafina. They make very beautiful music. Some of the best songs by them are *Magia, *Misterioso, and *Hikariful. I'm not sure how, but Hikariful reminds me of you Madoka." She found the Kalafina music and had her listen to Hikariful, as well as songs she didn't mention. Madoka, too, showed Homura music she listened to. And doing so, they both found out that they were both in love with the artist,*Yuki Kajiura. After 3 or so artists and bands, the bought a few CDs and left the music shop.
