| Gabrielle Davis | Tuesday, September 8th |

The auditorium was packed with students talking about their summers. The noisy chatter would increase as more and more students entered and found their seats. I waited patiently as I saw April and Cynthia entered the auditorium. I waved my hand in the air and when they saw me sitting; they nodded their heads and came straight towards me.

As soon as they sat down, we started talking. "Hey, girls. Where have you been?"

"Well—It's a long story." Cynthia began her hand waving in the air.

"No, it's not. See, Miss. Thang here decided that she was going to bump into a boy and start talking. I don't know why? But I guess that's just a Cynthia thing, but the funny thing is that he isn't just any boy, he was captain of the Trojans."

"Trojan's?" I asked. "The school's football team." She explained. I nodded in understanding, knowing how Cynthia can be. Then my eyes averted to the stage. "Oh, you mean him?" I pointed my chin in the stage's direction. The girls turned their heads and looked.

"Yup. That's him alright." Cynthia confirmed. "And I didn't decide to bump into him. I told you already I was looking for my look and didn't see where I was going and we bumped into each other." She rolled her eyes.

"Well, it seems to me that another girl has already claimed him as hers. Look." At that moment, a girl walked up on to the stage and put her hand on his shoulder. "Hmm..." Cynthia rubbed her chin in deep thought. "Abigail..." she mumbled, annoyed. April and I looked at each other than smirked.

"Hello, Westview High! Are you guys ready to start another school year?!"

All around them, the students screamed. Zeke smiled. You can tell he was excited that he had gotten the school pumped. Next to him, Abigail was cheering and clapping her hands, being the perfect cheerleader.

"Are you all ready to lead this school into the future with discipline and fun?!"

"Yeas!!" Cynthia smiled and looked longingly at Zeke. I could see why she would go googoo gaga. He was strong, tall, and had a leader's attitude. He was basically bursting with positivity, just Cynthia's type.

Zeke continued his pump-up speech, then the principal, Mr. Richards, came on the microphone. "Hello, Westview High! Welcome to the new school year! I hope you all enjoyed your summer and are ready to get up and go for this school year." Some kids laughed at him, some kids laughed with him, some stayed silent and some just smiled and nodded their heads. "I'm confident that this school year will be the best one yet! We are excited about our champions, the Trojans! I'm sure that Zeke is going to lead them straight to victory!" The whole school clapped and cheered. The Trojan team whooped while they gave Zeke pounds and patted his head.

Well, this year is going to be something alright.

| Jason Scott | Monday, September |

George pushed his way through the crowd with me following behind him while Zeke and the principal were on stage until we found Manny. He was leaning against the wall, looking through his phone. George walked over and patted Manny on the head. "Oh, Manny Dear? I found Jason." Manny looked up and looked from George to me. He pushed off the wall and looked directly at me. "Oh, well, lookie here. It's nice seeing you, Jason."

"Hey, Manny. How was your summer?" I sighed and looked at Manny with a smirk. "Oh, mine was great. I was able to watch a unicorn lay an egg, and I witnessed fairies swimming in the ocean and saw rainbows dance together across the horizon. Which is more than I can say about you." The sarcasm was just dripping from his tone.
