Tony's POV

"Okay okay. It was dope, but who's idea was it to go to the movies in the middle of the day?" I asked my 3 comrades, while squinting at the sudden sunlight.

Abayomi shook her head and index finger at me.

"Eh eh," she chastised me, in her Nigerian accent, "10 o clock! I said to be ready at 10 o clock so that we could make the matinee time for cheaper tickets."

Abayomi, though practically rich due to her two doctor-parents, was a frugal as they come. She was the good girl of the group. Not that the rest of us are criminals or anything, but she's practically allergic to breaking rules. Both of her parents are Nigerian and though she was born in Nigeria, she grew up here in Maryland, USA, so her accent is optional.

She pointed her stilettoed nail at me, "You were the only one not ready."

"Nuh-uh. Don't you even try that bull crap. I may have just gotten out the shower at 10, but if Taylor didn't have to finish blow drying her hair, I would have been ready by 10:15." I retorted.

Taylor paused from playing with her hair in a snapchat video and put her free hand on her hip.

"Ooohhh, don't you bring me into this. Remember when I needed to use the blow dryer and you told me to towel dry it? Why didn't you just do that?"

Taylor, Taylor, Taylor. If you know anyone who is constantly fixing their make up, has a cellphone full of selfies, and/or is always on top of the newest trends, then you know a Taylor. She's like the Barbie of our group. She's even lightskinned.

Rolling my eyes, I explained, "That was in Jamaica. During summer. This is winter. Towel drying is not going to close my pores and keep me from getting sick.

"Yo. Can we go to Starbucks or nah?" Alicia said, giving all 3 of us a look that could kill.

Alicia is um...well she is the tallest in our group. Her body knows no bedtime, which is probably because she's always wired off of coffee. She's the silent type, but don't get it twisted. She's won more fights than she's ever fought.

She hadn't had her coffee this morning..err afternoon. Being rushed out this morning, she wasn't able to make a pot and Abayomi promised that she would treat her later, rather than let her pay for overpriced movie theater coffee.

"Let's go!" Taylor said, suddenly motivated, by Alicia's evil eye, grabbed all of our arms in her own two and pulled us to her car.

And so the quest for Starbucks began...
