"Some have died and some are alive, others sail on the seas. With the keys to the cage and the devil to pay we lay to Fiddler's Green..." Elizabeth sang softly as she paddled on the waters of Singapore. The night was eerie and mood unsteady. She rowed under bridge when she heard her song being picked up again.

"The bell has been raised from its watery grave, hear its sepulchral tone? A call to all, pay heed the squall. And turn your sails toward home." Elizabeth looked over her right shoulder and saw her best friend's head peeking up from the water as she carried her tune on. A smirk crossed Kat's face as she looked at Liz.

"Yo-ho, all together." Elizabeth sang back to her as she saw Kat's face disappear under the water with one last smile. "Hoist the colors high." Elizabeth secured her boat on the dock as she got off continuing with the singing. "Yo-ho, thie-"

"Thief and beggars. Never say we die," a man finished as he stepped out from the shadows. He had a creepy look about him as he smiled at Elizabeth with rotted teeth, "A dangerous song to be singing for anyone ignorant of its meaning." He looked her up and down. "Particularly a woman who is alone."

Barbossa stepped out, "What makes you think she is alone?"

"You protect her?" The man asked him.

Elizabeth was quick to move behind him with a knife trained at his neck, "What makes you think I need protecting?" She moved the man over to the side of the dock where with one push he'd fall in.

"Your master's expecting us. And an unexpectin' death'd cast a slight pall on our meetin'." Barbossa said moving to Elizabeth's side.

The men that had accompanied the first rotted looking man began to show them away when Elizabeth spoke once more. "Why are you smiling?"

The man smirked, "What are you going to do? Push me in the water. Woman, there is much worse that could be done."

"You think the water is beautiful, huh?" Barbossa inquired. "I'd be careful. Beauty deceives... What's in the water might not be as beautiful as ye thinks." As they all prepared to leave, the sound of the British army jolted them. They made a quick dash behind a wall and disappeared.

As the soldiers marched on the bridge above them, the heads of Ragetti, Pintel, Gibbs, and Monty surfaced. They swam to the cave where bars held them from going further.

"Straws? Really boys?" Kat said suddenly as she made it up to them. The pirates quickly whipped around, gasping for breath.

"Flying monkeys and rum bottles! Don't be sneaking up like that!" Gibbs whispered/shouted.

Kat shrugged her shoulders and began to wipe her face and hair of the green muck that was in the water. "This place could not be more disgusting."

"Remind me again what you're going to be doing while we put ourselves in danger once again to save your dear friend William." Pintel said snarkily as he began to attempt to saw off bars.

Kat raised an eyebrow as she neared him. "Now Pintel, is that any way to speak to a mermaid? You do know what I'm capable of right? I'm more than willing to show you." Right as she said that, her eyes grew dark and fangs started to grow.

Pintel jumped back, hitting the cage, "Alright, alright! I got it!" Kat smiled and her face went back to normal.

"Never get on the bad side of a mermaid mate." Gibbs muttered.

Ragetti spoke after, "Really wish Tia Dalma hadn't told you that you could do that."

Kat laughed, "Very fun party trick I must say. Good luck boys." She winked and went back under water to await Barbossa and Elizabeth's return.

With Jack being in the locker now, Kat had plenty of time to learn about herself and her own strengths as a mermaid/person. Her love for Jack is what kept her strong and sharp. I'm going to bring you back Jack. I swear it. She would always say to herself whenever she felt weak.

She waited and waited for them to come out and slowly began to feel worried. Why were the East India Trading Company soldiers here? Kat wanted so badly to sing out to them and distract them from finding her father and her friend. But, chances were they knew who she was and she wasn't about to have her cover blown here in Singapore.

All of the sudden, screams, yells, bombs, and gunshots rang through the air as everyone began to fight. She watched from the water as people began to drop dead. Her heart pounded and she did the only thing she thought would help. Start killing off some soldiers. She saw William run out from the corner with the scroll in hand. He was just about to get shot by a soldier when Kat snatched the British man's boot and dragged him in to the water and snapped his neck. Unfortunately, with Jack being gone death had become taboo to Kat. Anyone who stood in between her and journey to find Jack would drop dead in seconds if she had any hand in it.

Will looked at his friend and nodded in thanks before tossing her the charts. Kat caught it and dipped in to the water.

After navigating around the waters she surfaced when she saw her fathers reflection. "William, did you get the charts?" He yelled towards Will as Sao Fang's men and his own surrounded them.

"I got 'em!" Kat yelled as she yelled up the charts in her hands. Then Sao Fang's men started gasping and chattering about how she was a mermaid. She simply rolled her eyes. This was getting seriously old.

"Also, one better," William started, "I got a ship and a crew."

"Where's Sao Fang?" Elizabeth questioned.

Will looked around suspiciously, "He'll meet us at Shipwreck Cove." With that, everyone ran to scramble on to the ship.
