Up Is Down (Ch. 4)

Jack and Barbossa were busy arguing and trying to one up each other while Kat searched the ship for Elizabeth. What the hell had she done to Jack?  Finally, Kat found her below the deck sitting by herself. She wanted to go off on her but instead, Kat began to slow her breaths and very calmly spoke, "Elizabeth what did you do to him." Before Elizabeth could speak Kat recognized the defensive look in her eyes, "Please don't lie to me or try to defend yourself, tell me the truth. What did you to him?"

Elizabeth casted her eyes down. Kat could read her like a book. "Everything I did was to protect us, Kat. Everything." She sighed, "I convinced Jack to stay on the boat. I gave him the cuffs and gave him an ultimatum. Either he sacrificed himself for us or I'd make sure Beckett found his way to you."

"What? Elizabeth Swann..."

The taller girl leaped up, "Kat please don't be upset. I never intended to have Beckett find you. I just needed Jack to go down with the ship so that the Kraken would go away. I never wanted to hurt you!"

"And you consider sending the love of my life to the locker wouldn't hurt me. How dare you? How dare you make that kind of decision. You weren't even certain that we could get him back. You didn't even care. You didn't care about me or anyone else. You cared about saving your own skin." Kat spat at her while her chest heaved in anger. She hadn't even realized was crying until she felt her face which was now wet with tears.

Will walked down the stairs to hear the girls arguing. "What's going on here?"

Kat never took her eyes off Liz, "Ask her, Will. It seems you have a lot to talk about." With that she brushed past Will and stomped up the stairs. She made her way up to Captains quarters. The room was dimly lit as always. She placed her hands on the desk and took a few deep breaths. Get yourself together. You've got him back now, that's all that matters. Two hands placed themselves on her waist and she didn't even have to turn around to know who it was.

"Tense luv?" Jack's voice came softly.

Kat just nodded. They stood in silence for a moment until her guilt overcame her. " I am so sorry Jack. I shouldn't have left you. I'm so sorry Elizabeth made you stay on the ship for me. I'm just so sorry for everything."

Jack quickly turned Kat around so that she'd face him, "Katherine, you got nothing to be sorry for. I listened to the broad and while she was the one to convince me to stay on me ship, I did it more for you. She did succeed in killing me but I would of done it anyways," He paused to look in the shorter girls brown eyes, "Because I love you."

Kat couldn't find any other words to say so she just grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him down to kiss him. His hands trailed down her back as he captured her lips. The kiss was filled with heat and want like nothing they'd experienced before. Jack finally felt the extent of his want for her. They backed clumsily into the desk.

Their desire for each other had no overriden any previous issues. As the seconds ticked by Kat grew more and more desperate. Every touch igniting new and old desires that demanded to be met. She had never felt like this before. He lifted her up to sit on the desk. She sat on the edge of the desk as he lips found Jack's jaw line. He only let her kiss him a few times before he decided he had to have more. "Luv, if ye don't want this to go any further stop me now. I can't keep going like this and not bed you."

Jack's boldness caught her off guard. Jack had been waiting for this for so long. He was a pirate for God's sake. Half of his job description was to bed beautiful women and he hadn't been able to do that with Kat on his mind 24/7. She and him hadn't had a moment like this and he wanted to take it. When Kat didn't respond Jack slowly began to back up and fix his shirt she'd begun to open. Her hand shot out and stopped him, smirking, "Jack Sparrow, I never took you for a man who didn't finish what he started."
