Issa's POV:
I shake in anticipation as I wait for further news from the police. I have been in questioning for the past five hours after I told them about what I heard and saw. Suddenly an officer comes out. "Okay so we have tried to track her cell phone number that you gave us, but the phone signal couldn't be found anywhere, which either means that she has some sort of government firewall system on it or it has been completely disconnected and broken. Also, we have confirmed some violent acts on Rudan's police file in the past, and we can't track him right now, but there isn't enough evidence against him to prove he is worthy to have a warrant out for his arrest." I stare at him in disbelief. How could I not know this stuff about Rudan? And why couldn't they arrest him? "If he has done violent things in the past and I saw that he left with Haley, then why can't you arrest him?" I say, getting aggravated. "Sir there just isn't enough physical proof. We need hard evidence. We can't just go by one person who saw something happen and a couple of files. It doesn't work that w-" "What about cameras? They are all over that place! I swear look at the cameras! What I'm saying is true! I'm begging you! We have to make sure she is safe!" "Sir calm down. There aren't cameras in the hallways that you claim they went through and even if there were, they would be extremely hard to access. I'm sorry sir, there is nothing we can do to help her right now." I feel tears stinging my eyes. No Issa, don't cry. I have to show this guy my aggressive side if I want professional help finding Haley. I have to be straightforward and get my point across. "Officer, I need to find Haley. I'm sorry if you don't understand what she means to me, but she means a hell of a lot and I need to find her. I don't care if being a witness isn't enough or there isn't enough cameras, I will get the cameras that they have and watch everything that happens. I will show you exactly what happens and you will be able to hear screaming from those cameras. I can and will sit down and watch the past 24 hours of footage on those cameras with an officer, weather it is you or somebody else. I know what I saw, but if you need evidence, damn right I will fight to get it so we can start looking for her. I need to find her." He sighs and looks at me. "Look kid, it looks like you are a fighter. If you need help finding your girlfriend, I'm not the officer who is going to assist you. You will have to go find a way to get the camera by yourself and try to convince another officer that somehow you have enough evidence. You aren't gonna get help from me or my team." I scoff at his sassy reply. "Fine, I don't need your help anyway" I mumble. I turn around and right before he shuts the door to his office I yell, "SHARMUTA" and run. I go around the office trying to find an officer who will help me with getting the security cameras. All of them are saying no. I'm mad now. I can get those cameras myself. I get in the car and slam the door as I turn the key. I pick up my phone and dial a familiar number. I start to drive towards his house when he picks up the phone. "Hello?" he says. "It's me." I reply and start to laugh. He chuckles on the other end. "Hey Issa! We haven't talked in a while! What's up?" "Well, it's a long story. I'm coming over to your house right now. I need help with something. Get ready because we have to go somewhere. I'll tell you everything when I pick you up." "Okay. See you soon. Bye!" "Bye Lukey-Pookey!" I say as I hang up. I haven't talked to Luke in a while. We actually dated for a while, then it kind of didn't work anymore. I was the one to break it off, but I was really upset when I found out I broke his heart. He wouldn't answer any of my calls or texts for the next eight months and whenever I asked someone how he was doing, they'd never know the answer. He finally started talking to me again after that, and we are good friends again now, we just aren't as close as we used to be. I quickly get out of the car when I pull up to his house. I ring the doorbell and he comes out and we hop in the car quickly. His facial expression changes from happy to worried when he sees how anxious I look and notices how quickly I'm driving. "So, what are we doing? Is everything alright?" he asks nervously. "Well..." I say. This is going to take a lot of explaining.
