It was a nice Saturday, and the sound of scoot farting in Matthews face, waking him up, added a little something special to his morning. Matthew shoved scoot off his lap and wiped the Cheeto dust™ from his mouth, walking to the bathroom to brush his teeth.
"Kierstin said she saw a cute guy that went to this pizza place. Maybe I'll find someone too," Matthew thought. He looked in the mirror with disappointment as he washed his face "then again maybe not."
"Matthew you're going to have to stay here, because I can't have you drawing the attention away from me." Tyrell said, putting on his jacket and grabbing his keys.
Matthews confidence restored, he had just woken up and already got a compliment. "You aren't serious right, I'm almost ready."
"Kierstin's already in the car, so if you want to go you better come quick. And next time try not to over sleep with a cat butt in your face. I don't even want to know what you dreamt about."
Mathew brushed his teeth and quickly grabbed a donut from the counter he was supposed to clean last night, but instead got distracted with Beyoncé and her angelic pipes
"Someone should really clean that." Matthew thought as he walked out the door.
The pizza place was a tall, modern building with a hint of an early 2000 feel to it, you could tell it was where hipster kids went to pretend like they got old trends. Kierstin Matthew and Tyrell walked into the pizza place and sat down in a table closest to the exit door, Matthew was ready to bolt because it reminded him too much of his early youth.
"Oh there he is THE CUTE WRITER GUY FROM MY CLASS, HES OVER THERE," Kierstin whispered, "don't look now but he--"
Matthew and Tyrell turned around, while Kierstin silently screamed into her plate full of pizza. Tyrell thought the guy was okay but then noticed the person he was talking to.
He glanced at Matthew, "is that?--"
"No it couldn't be" Matthew stared back.
Kierstin hated when they did this, she could never understand what they were doing when they talked to each other without speaking. Tyrell got up and walked towards the guy and the familiar face he was talking to. Kierstin was panickin. She stuffed more pizza in her mouth to drown out the stress.
"Hey I couldn't help but notice--?" Tyrell could definitely tell it really was her. They hadn't talked in years, "Isabella?" He asked.
She looked surprised and excused herself from her seat, walking over to Matthew and Kierstin. She looked so beautiful. Her eyes looked like Christmas hot chocolate and foam, her hair was like a bouquet of flowers and vines from a jungle in Africa, her shoes and dress looked like they were designed by North West herself, even her elbows were flawless. Matthew and Kierstin's mouth dropped as she walked over to their table. Not prepared for the rude awakening they were about to experience.
"What the GUCK are you guys doing here? Me and my boyfriend are trying to have a nice meal," Isabella said faking a smile so her boyfriend wouldn't suspect anything, "and I'd like to enjoy it in peace."
Kierstin Matthew and Tyrell stared, awe struck by the spectacle they thought she was being replaced by a she-devil. It was silent for a couple of seconds.
"So Broadway's treating you nicely." Matthew said breaking the silence.
Isabella had been a star on Broadway for two years now. She was currently doing a promo photo shoot in Cali for her new Broadway rendition of "Beyoncé: the Life and Times of the Wicked Bitch of the West."
"I don't really have time for any past relationships, I'm sure you guys got the texts Josh sent to you, about deleting my number from your phones, right?" She said still faking a great smile. She's not a famous Broadway star for nothing.
"No I never got that text" Tyrell said. The others nodded in agreement.
"Ugh that guy I swear, out of all the people to stay in contact with I chose him. What can I say, he's a good director I guess." She said sending a text to Josh her work monkey. Well now that you know, I'll be taking these."
She grabbed everyone's phone from their hands and snapped them all in half. Since they were made of glass it made it easy for her tiny fingers to break all three of their iPhone 11z's.
"I'll send you new ones in the mail. Okay? Okay. It was nice meeting you guys after so long, take care, chow, toodles, hugs and kisses mwa mwa mwa." She said waving and walking back to her table.
"... Sweet I can finally get a new iPhone," Tyrell said enthusiastically, "and did you see that, she blew a kiss at me."
Matthew wanted to slap him but couldn't because he didn't want to drop his pizza.
"She really thinks she can just do this to us and get away with it. I don't think so." Kierstin got up but got a look from one of Isabella's body guards hiding behind one of the fake plants in the pizzeria. She quickly sat down.
"Let's just get out of here," Matthew said shoving five slices in his to-go-box, "some people change and it'd be best let it go. But if that bitch doesn't send in the newest iPhone she's going down. Hard."
