How It All Began

Chapter One

On his bed, Matt was laying down thinking about Tom. He had a huge crush on Tom and thought about him constantly. He had, what you'd call an obsession. He would go to great lengths just to get Toms attention, but he also held himself back a great amount because Matt feared rejection and he didn't want Tom to leave. He only really wanted Tom to accept him and his feelings, that's all he wanted, he didn't want to hurt anyone along the way. In the meantime, while thinking of Tom, a brilliant idea popped into his head, what if he carved Toms name into his arm? He loved the idea so much, it'd be almost like a reminder of his love. He got up and got his jacket, which was lying on the end of his bed.

He heads for the kitchen, he had to get a knife, no... he needed it. He hears the T.V. from the top of the stairs, figured Edd was watching something. He thought they'd still be in their rooms, he'd have to be careful and hide the knife. He starts down the stairs and heads for the kitchen, only to see tom in there getting something from the fridge.

"Good morning, Tom!" Matt exclaims.

He didn't really want Tom to be in there, since it would make his task a chore but he's not disappointed to see Tom. Never would he ever hate to see Tom.

"Ehh? Oh, hi..." Tom says with a scowl on his face.

Hes usually not a morning person so Matt knows this face well, but it still stings to see him act this way towards him. He wished that tom would be more excited to see him but that was only a small hope. Tom wasn't interested and that made Matt feel like trash, he felt disposable almost. If he didn't matter to tom what was he really?

Matt had to look inconspicuous so he had to find something to cover him until he could get what he came for. He decided to wait for tom so it looked like he was only trying to get breakfast. Tom shuffled some things around in the fridge until he found what he needed and left the fridge open for Matt. Matt pretended to look for something and waited until tom left. Then while he saw that it was clear, he swiped a knife. He decided to sit down with something to eat, just to be consistent. He simply got some cereal and gulped it down as fast as possible. When he was getting ready to return to his room, he was interrupted.

"Hey Matt, why don't you watch this with us?" Edd was staring at him, gentle eyes on him waiting for an answer.

He patted the seat in the middle, next to edd and Tom. He always loved sitting next to Tom, he loved his scent, and his gentle breathing that could put him to sleep any day of the week. How could he say no to that? He looked down at them both, looking at him, expectantly waiting for his answer.

"Of course, I've always wanted to watch this, seemed interesting to me." Matt says, and sits right in the middle, sitting closer to Tom.

Well, as close as he could get without seeming weird. He can't help but look at Tom, the deep depths of his eyes, like the night sky. His breath, how his stomach rises up and down, attuned to his breathing. The way he stuck his tongue out to wet his dry lips every few minutes. Tom was like an angel to him, but Matt only felt like a terrible monster, he felt like Tom would hate him if he knew how much he had loved him. Thinking about it gave him a pit in his stomach. Maybe he deserved this pain? He was terrible anyways, right? He felt crazy but he couldn't help but be obsessed with tom though.

"Matt, why are you staring at me? It's a little creepy." Tom says, fully aware of Matt's eyes on him.

And that when Matt started to panic, he didn't know what to say. Then he finally thought of something, something he was proud to think of in the short amount of time he had to think.

"I was staring at my reflection on your face, man am I beautiful, I mean just look at me." Matt was smiling inside for thinking of that.

"Heh, I probably shouldn't have asked." Tom says half jokingly

A/N:// Oh boy, I'm sorry about the wait, O.o attack me if you want, i probably deserve it. Anyways, i decided to change things up because the old story had some issues that bugged me, And since ive aged ive noticed them easier after reading the story. I'm currently working on another chapter of the story. I hope the change doesn't upset you too much, because I'm quite happy with it tbh. I'm really sorry you guys waited so long, I have no excuse for that! but, im gonna work extra hard to please you guys this time around, I promise.
