He was saved.

He would no longer be plagued by the consequences of his pain,

He would no longer plague others with the consequences as well.

His memories still hurt to think about,

But the supernatural ability he had possessed had been taken from him.

He did not expect an apology from the Caelestibus girl,

But she apologized anyway despite how relieved he was.

Nyx tackled him in a hug, but their victory was short lived,

For the spirit slowly appeared from the shadows.

"Congratulations, prophesied, for you have defeated the evil

Inside of The Infernalis Nighthaunter

And saved the shy, innocent boy hidden within.

Everyone is safe now, from the supernatural terrors,

Everyone is safe now all thanks to you.

There will no longer be ghouls,

There will no longer be desireys nor soul-seekers

Lurking the streets and bedrooms of others at night.

However, since your job is done,

There is no more use for your power.

There is no more use for the power;

The power to see when there is no light,

The power to see the spirits that will remain.

Your power will be taken just as Night's curse has been taken from him.

Are you ready to give up the power?" Arrondelle asked,

And as Nyoxis nodded and closed her eyes

An icy chill coursed through her body quickly before escaping,

Taking the power with it.

When Nyoxis opened her eyes,

She almost expected to be blind,

But despite the fact that she could no longer see the spirit,

That had been in the warehouse that was actually only dimly lit,

When she looked to the side, Night was already smiling at her.

"Your eyes," he said quietly in disbelief.

"I don't know why I couldn't see it before,

I don't know why I couldn't see that they're like diamonds,

That they have the kaleidoscope effect of a crystal.

His words brought a smile to Nyx's lips,

For the eyes that she had once found bizarre,

But had grown to love, had stayed.
