Zulah woke to the delicious smell of meat, roasting on an open fire. "Strange," he thought. "I thought they had no food." He got up and got dressed. The first thing he noticed was that everyone was wearing at least one blue piece of clothing. "Wonder what that's all about" he thought to himself as he scanned the camp for Langley. He found him next to the fire, laughing happily and roasting the meat Zulah smelled when he woke. "Ah, here he is! Speak of the devil!" Langy motioned for Zulah to come and sit. "I was just telling Zhafir here how you were going to get us all our stuff back!" Zulah sat down next to Langy. "Morning all. What's for breakfast?" Langy laughed heartily. "So you've noticed? Zhafir here caught two Elk in his traps! A very rare occurrence, since the Elk usually are too strong and break free. But we got lucky!" Zhafir just nodded. "That explains his good mood." Zulah thought to himself. "Why is everyone wearing blue?" he asked. Langy replied. "I sent a messenger to Hroggir, explaining the terms of the fight, which is later today, so we are wearing blue to celebrate our name!" "What name?" Zulah asked dumbly. "The gang's name, of course! We are the Blue Bastards!" Langy appeared to be very proud of the name, and Zulah decided to go with it. It would be nice to feel like he belonged somewhere, even if it was only for a short while.

It was five hours pastnoon, late in the midday. The heat of the day had given way to a pleasant coolness, leaving everybody excited and energized. The whole of the Blue Bastards gang was following Zulah and Langy through the forest. "Where is the fight taking place?" Zulah asked. "There is a clearing in the forest about two miles away. That's where all fights took place." After about thirty minutes' walk, they arrived at the clearing. It was a natural clearing, surrounded by the dense forest. The Crimson Kings were already there, jeering and yelling at the Blue Bastards, surrounding the clearing on one side.

Hroggir was in the middle of the clearing, shaking his arms to warm them up, and sneering at Langy. He was indeed a monster of a man. He had light hair with greenish eyes, but his most prominent aspect was his build. He had shoulders like an ox, with arms and chest fitting the same description. His legs, on the other hand, was thin as reeds. It made him look absolutely ridiculous, if it wasn't for his hostile stance and the violent look in his eyes.

"Come ter meet yer death little boy?" He sneered at Langy. "I...I... I'm not your opponent..." Langy stuttered. "Doesn't matter, as soon as I beat the crap outta your man, I'm takin' you down too." Zulah walked over and shoved Hroggir. Hroggir stumbled backwards, surprised at the force behind the shove. "Don't be so surprised, fatty." Zulah smirked. "You're the one going down." Hroggir stood up and smiled evilly. "We'll see 'bout dat. I'm guessin' you're da man? My opponent?" Zulah nodded. Hroggir got to his feet. "Are you ready?" he sneered. Without waiting for a reply, he shouted "Then let's go!" and attacked. He shoved Langy away and charged Zulah. Zulah wasn't expecting it, and was hit head on and sent flying as Hroggir hit him. Zulah rolled twice and then leapt to his feet. "Not so cocky now, are we?" Hroggir mocked. Zulah shrugged, but kept his eyes on Hroggir. "Lucky shot. Don't expect it to happen again." Hroggir charged again, but this time Zulah was expecting it. Just as Hroggir was about to hit, he dodged out of the way and stuck out his foot, expecting Hroggir to trip. Instead, Hroggir leapt forward, balancing on his hands, and launched a backwards and upwards kick that would have killed Zulah if he didn't see it coming.

The Crimson Kings cheered and the Blue Bastards moaned. Things weren't going great so far. Zulah retreated back a few steps. "He is much better than I thought. His speed is impressive for his size. I'll have to outwit him, my agility won't help a lot. He is extremely agile for his size." All this went through Zulah's head in less than a second. Hroggir attacked again, but with more caution. He went to test Zulah's defences. He throw two left jabs, which Zulah dodged with ease. Then came a right hook, which he blocked. He stared at Zulah's eyes intently for a few seconds, and then he struck with all his might. He threw two lightning left jabs, a right hook, a left cross and then tried sidekicking Zulah. Zulah deflected or dodged most of the blows, but he let the sidekick hit, thinking he would catch it and sweep Hroggir's feet from under him. He caught the kick, as planned, but then Hroggir smiled. "Gotcha." Zulah frowned. In that moment, Hroggir used his left leg to swipe Zulah's feet from below him, falling on top of him in the process. Zulah was stunned. He recovered quickly though, and started trying to wriggle from under Hroggir. Hroggir laughed. "Ohh no. It ain't gonna be that easy." He smirked. Zulah stopped wriggling and looked up at Hroggir, who was now sitting on him, his knees pinning Zulah to the ground. "You're sure?" Hroggir smirk faltered. Zulah brought his knees up violently, hitting Hroggir in the butt. Hroggir lost his balance, lurching forward so Zulah's arms was free. Zulah shifted his whole body sideways, throwing Hroggir off. He jumped to his feet, and while Hroggir was still getting up, ran at him and kneed him in the ribs. Hroggir was sent sprawling again. He lay there in the dust, gasping for breath, and then, suddenly, he started laughing. Zulah was in a combat stance, a few steps away. "What are you laughing about?" He demanded. Hroggir snorted. "It's so funny, the way you believe you can win." Zulah frowned. Hroggir leapt up and charged. Zulah was prepared for the charge, but not for the speed Hroggir came at him. He was caught off balance, and Hroggir got him with an uppercut on the jaw. He staggered backwards, falling on his back. Stars were swimming in front of him, he couldn't see. "I'm going to lose!" He thought to himself, frantically. Then Heimik's lessons came to him. The lesson about grappling, about defeating an opponent on the ground. He knew how he was gonna win.
