"Are you Skilled?"
"Why the hell would you ask me that, Sword?" I continued to draw a bird that was eating grain in front of me.
Its been a week since Sword jumped through my window and annoyed me to no end. Sometimes I didnt understand what was going through his head, but then again, he's a guy, so who can understand?
"You hate Skills, yet you are extremely interested in them. You should come to Princeton to get tested."
"I'm not Skilled."
"And I'm not your best friend. Come on! Just get tested; if you arent Skilled, then I will never talk about Skills in front of you again. Deal?"
"Why wont you stop pestering me about this? I cant be Skilled. No one in my family has ever been Skilled. I'm not getting tested, and thats final."
He sighed loudly and scared the bird away. I wasnt even halfway done!
"Damn you. Why cant you just leave me alone about this? Even if I was Skilled, what would it be? The ability to scream so loud, it shatters people's eardrums and makes them deaf? The ability to walk through walls?"
"I'm... I'm not sure. You have a temper of a flame, the more fuel, the bigger the fire. Perhaps you can create fire?"
"yeah, right. Me, fire. Hmph." I shoved my sketchpad into my backpack, which, as i was zipping up the zipper, Sword stole and was halfway across the yard before I could even react.
"Damn you!"

When I finally caught up with him, he was boarding a train. "Hold the door!" I cried at the poor man standing beside the closing door.
He quickly opened the doors again and I jumped in. I smiled my thanks as the train pulled away from the station. (In case you havent noticed, I am very protective about my stuff.)
Sword was standing at the other side of the car, laughing. I snatched my bag from him.
"I hate you."
"I know," he laughed.
"this isnt funny! You took advantage of me and made me get on this train. Who's gonna take care of my cat, huh? She hates my brother! And I'm not going to that test!"
But, as always, my words didnt affect him. He had that look in his eyes that said that my words arent gonna make a difference.
"Maria," His voice was so serious, I wasnt sure if i was in trouble or not. "This is something that is hard for you to do. I believe you are Skilled. Smile! Let's continue on with this thing, shall we?"
