It's been three months.

Three months since that fateful day.

The villagers, they were all tempted by a Horror. It threw gold at them, made them drown in greed.

It was a fateful day for me, as well. My normal and happy life was changed. For better or for worse, I don't know.

For those three months, I trained myself, with the help of Minerva, that is. I've had to kill Horrors, learn more about them. Also, learn more about myself.

-----

León sat on the bench in the city near Valiante, named Tayion. His father ran off, leaving León to himself. Zaruba suddenly spoke. "There is another Madou Ring in this city."

León snapped his eyes down at Zaruba. "How do you know?" He asked.

"I can sense it."

"Should I go find it?"

"I think you should. This ring...it's very unique. I'd like to see it for myself."

León nodded his head and stood from his seated position. "Which way?" He asked.

"Take a left."

-----

Therru walked down the street, carrying a paper bag filled with bread and vegetables. She adjusted it in her arms, her leg twitching slightly. She carried her sword under her dress so she wouldn't attract attention. What kind of city girl just walks down a street with a sword strapped to her waist. Well, she was already an outcast, due to the scar on her face. (What she looks like above) Therru didn't mind though.

She walked down a street, to a small home between two larger houses. It wasn't that great, but it was homey. She entered, walking into the kitchen, placing the food on the table. She sighed and threw herself onto a chair. "Ahhh, I'm exhausted." She sighed. She reached uner her dress and pulled out the sword. Therru placed the sword on the table and stood. "I better start putting this all away."

---------

León followed the directions which Zaruba told him of. Eventually, he began to walk down a not very busy street. "There. That house there." Zaruba said, directing him to a small home. "The ring is inside."

"I'll watch and see if anyone comes out." León said.

-----

"Therru, I sense another Madou Ring." Minerva said.

"Where?" Therru asked her ring.

"Outside. It seems like they've tracked us."

Therru walked towards the window, standing to the side of it. She pulled the curtains back a bit, just enough for her to peek out. There, she saw a boy beginning to walk away. Even from the angle she was at, she could partially tell that he was attractive.

The boy turned a corner, but stopped. She turned back inside. Is he after me? I'll stay inside, just for precaution. She blew out the lights and sat at the table, being as quiet as she could.

-----

Night fell quickly and a loud screech echoed through the streets, following by another, and another. León rushed to where it came from. Therru ran out, grabbing her sword in the process. She watched the boy run off.

Stopping for a moment, she began to climb the wall of the house beside her. She put her fingers between the bricks along with her feet. She hoisted herself onto the roof with a grunt, tripping slightly as she stood up. Therru could hear another group of terrifying screeches.

She jumped from roof to roof until she came upon a group of Horrors, circling a Makai Knight. "That's Garo." Minerva told her. "You should help him."

She nodded her head with a confident, stone expression on her face. She drew her blade and drew a circle over herself. Her Makai armour appeared and she jumped at the Horrors. Garo was panting, kneeling on one knee in exhaustion. Therru, or Koro, slayed the Horrors, slicing into their heads, making them dissipate into black smoke.

Garo stared at the knight with blurred vision. He couldn't make out the details of the Makai Knight, until they approached him. He felt his armour disappear and the person walk towards him. He raised his sword to the person. His hands shook due to the stab would in him abdomen. "W....Who are...you?" He questioned weakly.

Therru knelt by him and put his arm around her shoulder. Yet, she didn't change out of her armour. She didn't answer as he fell limp, unconscious. "Minerva, this is Garo?" She asked.

"Apparently so." Her ring said.

"Didn't expect to see you again, Minerva." The other Madou Ring said.

"Neither did I, Zaruba." She said back.

"Okay, we'll do this later. I have to carry him."
