Brent was hurried to the hospital, he Brent was holding onto Carlos’s hands, he looked him in the eyes, and said, “I’ll be alright, tell my mom... i’m sorry for being a bad kid.”
“Your not bad Brent, your just really protective and get picked on by people, your just a guy doing what you think is right.”
“But then... i made her a promise, never to make enemies, never to hurt anyone, never to break anyone, but its seems i broke that promise...” He then looked over at Leon, “and i’m sorry, you 2 got hurt for what i did, I was probably the only one that deserved that.”
“Man, it’s alright,” Leon said and touched his lips where it was bleeding, “We are all friends here, and we are all almost alike.”
“Yeah Brent, your going to be just fine, we promise.”
“Thank you Carlos, thank you Leon.” Brent said and smiled. He closed his eye’s and soon, his hands fell to the side of his bed. The ambulance drove on, towards the emergency room.
“MOVE MOVE MOVE!” Yelled the doctor, as he was wheeling Brent towards the room. Carlos and Leon stayed next to him the whole time.
“Brent, your going to be fine.” Leon said. Brent opened his eye’s slowly.
“I hope,” He said and smiled. The doctor then went to the ‘NO ENTRY ZONE’ and the two brothers had to stop running next to him.
“Come on,” Carlos said, “We have to go get Brent’s mother.”
“Alright.”
The two brothers soon went to Brent’s mother’s house, and told her. She bursted into tears and asked to see him. It was hard to say no to her, so they took her to him.
“You two look like you two got roughed up a little yourselves.”
“No, we are alright, we’re just.... A little bit hurt.”
“Yeah, and, um.... we can deal with this problem ourselves.”
“And Brent wanted us to tell you, he said..... He’s sorry, for being a bad kid, and for breaking his promise.” Hearing this, Brent’s mother started crying even more.
“Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear,” she said, “My Brent’s hurt really badly right now, and i’m not there to hold him.”
“Brent’s a... really, REALLY strong man Miss. Yun, he can make it threw.”
“He’s strong on the surface, but not all the way threw.... EVERYONE HAS A WEEK SPOT!” There was an awkward silence, “And i know, Brent’s week spot is betrayal...” She said and started crying. The two brothers where silent, not wanting to tell her about Lin.
“Miss. Yun, what would happen if he was betrayed?”
“Well, he starts getting weaker, he feels unloved, and he loses all his strength.” She said. The two brother looked at her, and then stared at each other and nodded, agreeing not to say anything to her about Lin.
When they got to the hospital, Brent’s mother went straight up to the check in sheet, and asked for Brent.
“Brent? Brent Yun?”
“Yes!” His mother screamed.
“I’m sorry, but Brent can’t have any visitors today. He’s in really bad condition, come back in 12 hours to check up on him ok?”
“Ok,” Brent’s mother said. Soon after, Carlos and Leon where asked to be checked too. They both had alot of bruises and a broken bone, but that was it. they were both worried about Brent, and then, they went home. Later, the next day, Brent’s mother and the 2 brothers went to go check on Brent.
