"She tried to hit my son, she tried to come in the way of Dolans punishment, and before this she tried to escape."

My eyes slowly open to a dark room and I sit up, looking at my wrists that are chained along with my ankles. When I look up, there's a glass separating me from the woman in scrubs and a man in a uniform. Chad Grier. Oh my goodness what have I done?

"It seems she has awaken, let me go see if she's fine."

The nurse comes into my room with a slight smile, "how are you feeling?"

"I want to talk to Hayes."

"I'm sorry, we can't allow that."

"I want to talk to Hayes." I say, this time a lot angrier.

"You tried to fight him, Miss, we can't all-"

"I'm fucking chained! I can't hurt him! I want to see Hayes fucking Grier right now!" I yell and she huffs.

"I will see what I can do."

After what seems like hours, Hayes comes in with a black eye and a smile.

"Wow, Skylar, I didn't think you could hit that hard." He tries to joke but my lips stay in a frown.

"It wasn't Graysons fault, it was mine. He doesn't deserve to be tortured. Hayes, please do something."

"Listen, I can see what I can do but your supposed to be locked in here for three months, then you have to finish your month out in the box."

"Are you serious?"

"I'm talking to my Dad about it. I'm trying, Skylar." He sat in a chair.

"Hayes, five minutes is up." Chad appears in the room and Hayes stands up.

"Bye, Skylar, you'll be out soon. I promise."

Why is he so caring now? He used to be the biggest jerk ever and now, he's helping me?

It's been two long days being chained up and being around Hayes every minute. I never thought I'd enjoy it.

He's managed to help me but I'm still very angry about Grayson and I've begged him to just let Gray go and I'll stay.

"You can go back to your room now." He comes in with a key.

"What's going on with Gray?" I ask, letting him unlock my chains.

"He's in the emergency part, he's beaten pretty badly. I went and seen him today. They said you won't be able to see him since you tried to beat me up."

I fall back onto the pillow and bite my lip, forcing my tears in.

"I wanna be alone."

"Well you need to go back to your room."

I stand to my feet, my wrists and ankles hurting from being chained up this whole time.

"Hayes?"

"Hmm?"

"Thank you."

A small smile danced on his face as he grabbed my hand and helped me walk, "You're welcome."
