I nervously pick up the bow and arrow, I'm quite well with a bow but with his eyes on me, I freak out.
I pull the string back, aiming and letting go watching the arrow completely miss the target.
This can't be, I've never absolutely missed the target.
"Go again!" His voice booms through the large silent room.
"Yes sir." I mutter, grabbing another arrow.
My arm shakes along with my breathing but when I aim and shoot, the arrow hits the middle and I sigh in relief. That's what I'm capable of.
"Shoot one more." His harsh voice appears behind me and my eyes wander to him.
He's standing right behind me with arms crossed, his eyes two pieces of ice, and lips into a frown.
I shoot again hitting the exact same spot. A small smirk grows on my face as I place the bow back.
"Good, but if you were to ever go into a fight you'd be-"
He throws a punch to my stomach and I fall to me knees in pain.
"You'd be attacked." He finishes. "Stand up."
I obey his command, keeping my head high.
"I'm recommending that you take defense classes. Get outta here."
"Thank you for your time, Grier." I say through gritted teeth.
"I appreciate no sarcasm, Ms?"
"My name is Skylar but I prefer to be called Sky." I roll my eyes.
"I don't care what you prefer, Skylar. Send the next one in."
And that's how life went anymore.
