Harry's Perspective
I was so concentrated on preparing dinner that I really wasn't even paying attention to Maria honestly. Cooking was a passion of mine and I really took it seriously, no distractions or anything. I heated a small pan and put all the onions peppers and mushrooms in it sautéing everything. It smelles so good already.
By the time I had finished making the rest of the dish, I noticed that Maria was no where to be found. I frown lightly and plate our food, pouring two glasses of wine for us.
She must be in the bedroom then.
I sigh and wash my hands, going to our bedroom.
"Baby, the food is-" I say in a mellow tone of voice before I open the door. My heart drops down to my stomach seeing you looking through my phone.
"Gotcha!" I hear her say while tapping on my phone. I quickly snatched it away from her, shaking my head.
"Are you looking through my phone?!" I say looking down at the screen seeing what she eas looking at. Shit.
"Who's that?" She asks me while standing up.
"Don't you worry about it." I say softly putting my phone on the table.
"Don't fucking tell me not to worry about it Harry who is that bitch? She's called you at least five times since I got in the shower." Maria tells me and I turn around, walking away from her. That's all I could do was walk away from her. I didn't know what to say to her and I surely wasn't going to tell her who that was.
That girl is an idiot. She knows not to call at this hour and especially if she knows that I am with my girlfriend.
"What is happening right now Harry?" Maria asks, following right behind me. I stay mute and keep on walking even though she was hot on my trail. "I know that you hear me talking to you and you ignoring me isn't going to make the situation better."
"I am not understanding what you want me to even say. What do you want me to tell you?"
"That I have nothing to worry about. That you love me and you actually give a crap about me and my feelings. That she's no one and she is not going to get between us. Anything Harry. I would believe anything but you ignoring me is making me scared." I hear her voice start to crack and I frown. I couldn't take it when my baby started to cry. "Please Harry. What am I doing wrong to make you go to another girl? Let's talk about it."
I turn to face her and bite my lip. I couldn't talk to her about this. I just couldn't.
She would never understand what I was doing.
"You aren't the problem. I love you and I always will. Just please forget it! Forget that you saw that, okay?" I ask and then, sigh softly, walking a bit faster as I go into the dinning room, sitting down. I knew that she wouldn't get it if I told her it was to better the both of us.
It was for our well being.
