The next day in school, there was a crowd of people around me asking me lots of questions about me moving "seriously guys its nothing. i am oving to australia. ok so i am gonna miss u lot but i will keep in touch where possible" i said impatiently, but it felt good to have some attention. my best friend shannon came up to me and hugged me. tears filled my eyes. "your the one im gonna miss the most"i whispered. "dont worry. we can still keep in touch cant we?" she asked. "yeah" i tried to sound positive. "come on then" she said. "lets get to class" together we walked to class. The next 2 lessons were really bad. science and english. In science we had to stand in a circle and the whole class had to join hands. we had to be in boy gril order, and i was stuck holding hands with know it all lucy and the most annoying boy in the class,also a loner. That was going to be me soon. Shannon walked out of class with me and we unwillingly walked to english. That was no better. We had to do a test. i couldnt focus one bit and i bet i failed. Miss asked me to see her at the end of the lesson. Great. now i was going to be spending my breaktime with my english teacher. how fun. Shannon stayed with me though so i was greatful for her presence. "summer. I noticed you were...somewhat...distracted from your assessment. usually you are the first one to finish. Is anything the matter?" she asked. I know she was trying to sound kind, but i realy wasnt in the mood for anyone being kind to me today, except shannon, because she was my best friend. "i....." i started. I found that no words could come out my mouth. "erm..miss she is just a bit upset at the moment. She is having some problems at home" shannon fillled in for me. she looked at me. i mananged a weak smile at her to say thankyou. "oh, ok" said miss. "is there anything you want to tell me?" she asked. "not really" i replied. "well, whats happened? parents split?" i shook my head. "err...are you moving house?" she asked. i nodded. tears filled my eyes. i looked at shannon and she wrapped her arm around me to comfort me. "well...ok fair enough. hey come on dont cry. you will still see all your friends" she soothed. "miss she wont she is moving to australia. that is why shes upset. becaue she wont see her friends for a little while" informed shannon. "awww but surely you can still keep in touch?" miss asked. me and shannnon looked at eachother, and nodded. "so how is your brother dealing with this?" miss asked, trying to change the subject a little. but i didnt want her to really talk about my brother. "he's,errr...fine" i mumbled. "he thinks its an adventure" "he's absolutely right" miss said. "you have to look on the positive side and look forward to it. then it will seem so much better." thats the trouble with my brother. people always want me to believe my brother because unfortunately whatever he said is usually true. "anyway, you girls better go if you want a breaktime, and remember shannon, you can come and talk to me whenever you want" i nodded a thanks and walked out the door. shannon followed and we wandered down the corridoor to the hall.
