The rest of the day went by really quick. i started to take on board what my teacher had said and shannon said that i was starting to smile!!! i happily walked home and burst through the door with smiles all round. My parents looked up when i made my entrance. they looked surprised. "hiya love" said mum. "hello" i replied. "you seem in a bit of a happier mood to yesturday" dad said. "yeah i have just realised that moving house isnt so bad after all" i replied. i smiled at my brother and walked over to the cupboards. "got anything exciting to eat?" i asked. "there are some cookies in the breadbin" mum said. i took one and munched on it. "so what made you change your mind?" dad asked. i grinned."well...i can still keep in touch, and like tommy said..." i paused to see if anyone was actually listening, my family were listening intensely and tommy had looked up because i metnioned his name. i continued." like tommy said, you have to look at it like an adventure. and i am. come on guys, it will be fun..right?" "right" agreed mum, looking at dad as if to say "whats going on?"
I went to my room and happily wrote in my diary. I did my homework and practiced my spellings for tomorrow. I was about to have some free time when my brother walked in. "i cant sleep" he snivelled. i sighed. i really wanted some free time. That is the trouble with my brother. Always needs me at inappropriate times. Then i remembered what i had said and what my teacher said to me. "alright get into your bed and ill read you a story" i said. he nodded and disapeared. I packed my stuff away and entered his room. he held a story on his lap. he was tucked up in his duvet and clutching the book. I took it from him and read the title. Postman pat saves the day. Wow, how babyish. Surely he didnt read this crap in school. Thats another bad thing about my brother. He does such babyish things sometimes. I read the story, trying to sound enthusiastic for my brothers sake. Soon after i had finished the 3rd chapter, he had fallen into a deep sleep. I smiled happily. I kissed him on the cheek, turned out his bedlight and crept out his room, closing the door behind me. I listened just in case he had woken up again. But i could still hear the faint sound of his heavy breathign the other side of the door. I smiled happily. I felt good. And i grinned even more when i realised that i now had free time!!!!
