Phil's POV
**********"I-im not sure," Dan stutters.
I smile at this.
"You weren't lying when you said you are awkward," I say to him, causing his face to turn an even deeper shade of crimson.
"Sorry," he mumbles.
"Don't be," I reply to him. "I like it."

"So class, today we will be working in groups of two," says the teacher. I hear Dan gulp a little beside me. He's so cute.
"Now, before I tell you your assignment, I would like you to get into your teams."
Everyone gets out their chairs and goes to find somebody to work with. I stay seated considering I still don't really know anyone yet.
I look over at Dan, and see the he is nervous. He is pulling and the sleeves of his sweater, covering part of his hands with his sleeves.
"Hey Dan?"
"Hmm?"
"Would you like to be partners?"
He blushes slightly, probably at my choice of words.
"S-sure," he answers.
"Great!" I exclaim enthusiastically.
"So, does everyone have their partners?" the teacher asks, and everyone replies yes.
"Great. So, our project is to get to know people better. What are their hobbies? Their goals? Stuff in that nature. You will be writing an essay over what you learn about each other," the teacher explains.
I look over at Dan to see what his reaction is, but I find him gazing out the window instead. Its pretty obvious he didn't hear a single word the teacher just said. I tap him on the shoulder and he jumps a bit, causing me to laugh.
"Did you hear any of that?" I ask him.
"Umm, no," he replies truthfully. I explain to him what our assignment is, and he nods his head.
"Sounds easy enough," he says.
"Good job!"
"What?" he says confusedly, tilting his head slightly.
"You finally said something to me without stuttering!" I exclaim.
This cause him to blush again, but he smiles.
I love his smile.
