Dan's POV
**********"Do you have your phone with you?" Phil's asks me.
"No," I say, shaking my head. "I got grounded from it."
"Why'd get grounded from your phone?" Phil questions.
"I got grounded from all of my electronics. My mum said I spend too much time online and need to learn to 'socialize'."
Phil chuckles at this, but then his face falls back into a grimace.
"My phone is dead," Phil says sadly.
"Wait, isn't there a phone booth at the park?"
"Umm, I-im not sure," I say, getting nervous. Parks have always terrified me. Something about the idea of letting little children run around with strangers nearby terrifies me. And plus, all of the germs and bacteria that are all over the slide and swings. Not to mention that its getting dark outside, and I'm petrified of the dark.
"What's wrong?" Phil asks, breaking me out of my train of thought.
"W-what do you mean?"
"You've started to stutter again."
"Oh, I just d-don't really like parks."
Phil looks at me and there is a smile on his face, and I don't know why but this makes me blush.
"You don't have to worry, Dan," Phil says to me. "I will be right there with you."
After a few minutes of hesitation, I nod and get out of the car.
*******
We begin to walk towards where Phil thinks the park is, and I immediately become aware of my surroundings. There are trees all around us, which is just fantastic considering I absolutely hate trees.
Its eerily quiet, and I want to run back to the car, but I don't want Phil to know that I'm scared of the dark. I find myself walking closer to Phil as we go. I normally am a firm believer of personal space, but I'm so scared right now that I don't care. Phil seems not to mind either, because he sees it as an opportunity to grab my hand. In any other situation, I would not have allowed this, but it was actually quite comforting at the moment so I allow it.
We begin to come to a clearing and the park is now in view, and even though I'm terrified, I let out a shaky breath because I know that we are almost there.
Then, out of no where, a moth flies up to us. I immediately freak out and grab on to the nearest object out of fear. That object just so happened to be Phil.
"If you wanted to hug me you could've just said so," Phil says with a chuckle.
My face burns red and I push his shoulder playfully.
"Shut up," I say with a grin.
And Phil just smiles more.

A/NDan is getting more comfortable around Phil! How adorable! I hope you guys are enjoying the story so far! Feel free to vote and comment if you are annoying the story. ~edit: I meant to put enjoying right there, not annoying. This is one of the many reasons why I'm a failure~
